The AAU season is just about to wrap up, but don't tell these guys. These guards continue to put in strong performances and make the most of the games left to play. Here are a handful of senior and junior guards that stood out in late July.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450981' first='Josiah' last='Lee'] Seattle Select Glacier Peak '25

He's shown some sneaky athleticism in the past and he's clearly continued to grow and get stronger. However, in his last game, his floor-spacing ability shined brightest. Lee was running to the corner in transition, knocking down threes at a high rate, and can put it on the floor, make a move then pull up to bury the long-range shots too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1451020' first='Caden' last='Young'] Seattle Select Roosevelt '25

I've seen Young a few times through the AAU season and every time he brings the same high-intensity defensive effort, showcasing his ability to hound ballhandlers and force pick-ups. He's an intelligent player too who can sprinkle in some shots from the outside and make some heady plays in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450486' first='Trevor' last='Hennig'] Beauchamp Elite Mt Si '24

Hennig showed a lot of promise in his sophomore season, then got derailed with an injury his junior year. Now, heading into his senior season he looks like a man on a mission. He's been incredibly explosive to the rim, whether it's beating his man with a quick first step or finishing with strength and intention at the rim. He works hard all over the court and his determination to score the rock has helped take him to another level thus far.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450500' first='Jamari' last='Harris'] Seattle Select Garfield '24

Harris is one of the more tantalizing athletes in his class. Standing about 6-foot-5 with a smothering wingspan, he's always shown some superb defensive potential but in my last viewing of him, he showed outstanding vision with quick-hitter passes through traffic. He did get a little sloppy with the ball at times, but there were enough impact plays with him splitting defenders and placing perfect passes for assists to get me really excited for his development as a playmaker.

[player_tooltip player_id='1450603' first='Tre' last='Walker'] NW Greyhounds Mt Tahoma '24

I got to watch some of Walker at the Ultimate Club Championships and no matter how many times he does it, I still find myself in awe at his ability to hit and hit, and hit from behind the arc. He was sinking three after three, whether the defense was up on him, if he was three to four feet behind the line, it was early in the possession or late in the possession. When he gets the feel from deep he can be absolutely unstoppable.
