Braylan Ritvo Braylan Ritvo 6'6" | SF Stepinac | 2024 State NY is a player with a lot of potential to play at the next level. Whether it’s inside or out, Ritvo has an assortment of ways to score the basketball. At his size he creates mismatches on the perimeter and on the low post. When it’s a smaller defender, Ritvo has a nice shot and can shoot over outstretched arms. Or take a defender into the post for an easy layup. But Ritvo also has a good first step and can blow by faster defenders on his way to the hoop. Because of the mismatches he creates, double teams came to Ritvo in droves at Iona Prep Team Camp. Since he’s a smart and willing passer, this created open looks for his teammates. Ritvo is an interesting player to watch next season for Archbishop Stepinac.
Ahmed Cisse Ahmed Cisse 6'4" | SG All Hallows | 2024 State NY has long arms and a good nose for the ball on defense. At Iona Prep Team Camp, we were impressed with Cisse’s ability to play the passing lanes and contest shots on the perimeter and at the rim. However, Cisse shines in the open floor. Because of his length and creativity around the rim, Cisse finishes tough layups or is fouled in the process. And with his ability to knock down the long ball, Cisse is a player college coaches will have an eye on next season.
Chase Solano
Chase Solano
Chase Solano is a tough player at the guard position for Lasalle. With his ability to shoot from long distance, Solano is an interesting player for college coaches to keep an eye on next season. Although he isn’t a big guard, he could have fooled us with the way Solano plays the game. In fact, he was very aggressive attacking the basket when defenses closed out on him. While shooting is Solano’s strongest attribute, the energy and effort he plays with is a reason he was a standout to us at the team camp.
Dejon Williams
Dejon Williams
Dejon Williams made an immediate impact on us at Iona Prep Team Camp with his handles. Straightaway we could see his ability to breakdown defenders and get to the middle of the court to initiate offense. Equally important, Wiliams keeps his head on a swivel and finds open teammates where they can be a threat to the defense. At the same time, Williams plays with a fire on both ends of the floor. Since he never gave up on a play, he created a lot of easy baskets for All Hallows. Williams also showed off his leaping ability on a couple of plays. And should be a guard coaches take a look at next season.
George Foote
George Foote
George Foote is the smallest player on this list but easily had the most consistent shot. Foote has a quick release that makes it difficult to block and he shot very well from downtown at Iona Prep Team Camp. Once the ball is in his hands, Foote becomes a threat. And he shot just as well from the midrange when forced to dribble by defenders closing out. When not left open, Foote moved the ball well and found open teammates. With his ability to shoot, Foote is a player coaches that need a PG who can stretch the floor will be interested.
