Following the AAU travel season, Prep Hoops Wisconsin breaks down the top available shooting guards in the class of 2024...

1. [player_tooltip player_id='1142123' first='Kon' last='II Knueppel'] (Wisconsin Lutheran)

Knueppel has already taken official visits to Notre Dame, Stanford, Ohio State, and Louisville. In September, the five-star prospect will get to Duke and Alabama officially. Marquette and Wisconsin remain heavily in the mix as well. As a junior, Knueppel posted 20 points, nine rebounds, and three assists per game, leading Wisconsin Lutheran to a 23-5 record and a trip to the sectional finals.

2. [player_tooltip player_id='1142121' first='Tim' last='Franks'] (Homestead)

One of the state's best catch-and-shoot guards, Franks is weighing offers from Bradley, Green Bay, Albany, and Arizona. Franks is also receiving interest from St Thomas, Dartmouth, Evansville, Princeton, Cornell, North Dakota State, Appalachian State, Hillsdale, Minnesota Duluth, Southwest Minnesota State, Williams, and the University of Chicago. Last season, Franks averaged 19.3 points per game while shooting 49.3 percent from downtown.

3. [player_tooltip player_id='1203029' first='Evan' last='Anderson'] (Onalaska)

Anderson put up 19 points and five rebounds per game for a 19-6 Onalaska squad that won a share of the Mississippi Valley Conference. Racking up Division 2 offers, Anderson has scholarships on the table from Winona, Minnesota State-Mankato, Minnesota-Moorhead, Northern State, and Minnesota-Duluth. We're hearing there are a few Division 1 programs involved here as well.

4. [player_tooltip player_id='1145649' first='Cody' last='Schmitz'] (Gale Ettrick-Trempealeau)

Coming off a foot injury, Schmitz returned to the court in July. A strong, athletic guard with three-level scoring ability, Schmitz put up monster numbers last season, going for 30 points and nine boards per outing. St. Cloud State and Northern Michigan both offered Schmitz in July. Schools like South Dakota State, St. Thomas, Penn, Hillsdale, Minnesota State-Moorhead, and Winona State are also interested.
