Jones is the highest ranking new prospect to enter the NorCal Rankings. He’s a combo guard with a quality skill set. A strong body, with the ability to get his shot off in different ways. He’ll knock down the mid-range with or without the dribble with lift, and some consistency, his 3’s go in, and he’ll challenge in the paint and finish. He could be too low.
The speedy point guard transfers in to a team with a couple of DI prospects who can put the ball in the net. That makes him hard to guard anywhere on the court. He has quality handles, speed, vision and quality passing to get the job done up top. He has a quick pull up, good in transition passing and pushing up. His quick hands and feet can cause problems on defense.
He shows speed and quickness on the court. He’s long, wiry with an improving skill set. He’s hard to guard when he’s headed towards the rim in transition. He handles on the perimeter using his quick burst to get by, and get into the paint, handling contact. He can hit the short pull-up jumper. He’s kind of lengthy with good defensive play. He’ll help rebound.
Highlights
The shooting guard has good movement around the perimeter using screens, and movement to get open. He has a good release, and finds open spots coming down in transition. He’ll use a ball fake, and a jab step to get defenders leaning, then into the paint for jumpers, step backs, and floaters. He handles in transition with good passing.
Loud made noise in the early Spring with his attack style of play in transition and along the perimeter when he has the ball. He’s a hard playing guard with good handles, quality moves to aggressively attack the basket and score. He can hit the mid-range jumper. He brings good intensity and works hard to defend on the defensive side of the ball.
He’s a quality guard that can run point, if needed. He has the handles, good foot speed and moves well on the court. He’s a willing passer. He can get his own shot working off the ball with a solid mid-range jumper or working his way around the perimeter for a 3-point shot. He’s had a good Spring
Highlights
He’s long, wiry and plays with a good amount of energy throughout the game on both ends. He has good hops to go get rebounds out of his space, he’ll attempt to use his length for blocks. He gets wide and is in transition, he’ll throw it down. He has an improving skill set, we need to see more of this prospect from the small school in the city.
He’s long, gets up and down the court pretty good. He has some explosiveness going to the basket in transition. He’ll use a dribble or two to get inside the paint, with good length he’ll score around the basket. We’ve seen him handle a bit in the open court with good passing. He can set up on the perimeter and in the corners for 3’s.
He has an improving set of skills that allows him to handle the ball in transition and in the open court. He has good size to play multiple positions, he’ll get into the paint with a hard to block paint jumper, use his size to post and back defenders down at times, or use a turnaround jumper.
A muscular prospect with the muscle to body up and defend in the paint. He has good bounce to go after blocks and rebounds. He’s a bit raw but does play with energy, and strength in the paint powering up off two feet. He has a paint jumper with a little fade to it.
