Morez Johnson Morez Johnson 6'9" | PF Thornton | 2024 State #33 Nation IL (Thornton)
Current Ranking: #1
The Illini commit has a stranglehold on the top spot after a great junior season and has carried that into the spring with Meanstreets ‘ last=”]. Will be making the move to Thornton for his senior campaign. Explosive finisher that has diversified his offensive skill set with a reliable face up game and counter moves. High-motor defender and rebounder that snatches boards in traffic with the best of them.
Cooper Koch Cooper Koch 6'8" | PF Metamora | 2024 State #81 Nation IL (Peoria Notre Dame)
Current Ranking: #3
Been rumors about Koch possibly being on the move as far as high schools as well. We already know his college home next season will be at Iowa. The Hawkeyes are getting a skilled face up four that can really stretch the floor, is an excellent passer, and has touch on the block.
Lathan Sommerville (Peoria Richwoods)
Current Ranking: #4
Finally a top prospect moves in-state! Actually back in state as the Rutgers commit spent the last two seasons in Georgia at The Skills Factory. The 6’10” five man has a huge frame with the ability to anchor on the block both as a scorer and post defender. Rebounds very well in his area.
Jason Jakstys Jason Jakstys 6'10" | C Yorkville | 2024 State #141 Nation IL (Yorkville)
Current Ranking: #5
Jakstys is the top uncommitted post on the board. Long and rangy five that has a ton of projectability. Excellent footwork on the block, can stretch with his shooting, good passer, and has a natural feel for blocking shots. Mid-majors are going to be all over him!
Jaheem Webber Jaheem Webber 6'9" | C Normal Community | 2024 State #300 Nation IL (Normal Community)
Current Ranking: #7
Strong bodied five from central Illinois that plays with an old school power game. He is a big time area rebounder that snatches them in traffic with the best of them. Likes to score with his back to the basket on power moves and hook shots.
Calvin Robins (Kenwood)
Current Ranking: #13
Robins is one of the premier athletes in the class. He is a bouncy four man that throws down thunderous jams, is a force on the offensive glass with his pogo stick ability, and can block shots with absolute force. Flashes improved skill with hook shots and short jumpers, but you are buying the energy and athleticism here.
Eoin Dillon Eoin Dillon 6'8" | C Peoria Notre Dame | 2024 State #294 Nation IL (Peoria Notre Dame)
Current Ranking: #19
Skilled five that can really stretch the floor with his shooting. Pick and pop threat that can terrorize defenses with his sharp shooting. Touch around the basket scoring on the block and is fluid getting up and down the floor.
Jaylan McElroy Jaylan McElroy 6'7" | PF DePaul Prep | 2024 State #262 Nation IL (DePaul Prep)
Current Ranking: #23
Long and angular four man missed most of his junior season with an injury, but came back just in time to help lead them to a state championship in 2A. High energy forward that rebounds the ball and has a feel for scoring from 15 feet and in with sound moves and quickness on one or two dribbles. Love the instincts he has as a defender and rebounder.
Stefan Cicic Stefan Cicic 7'0" | C Riverside Brookfield | 2024 State IL (Riverside Brookfield)
Current Ranking: #28
Wide bodied five man that is an old school center. He plays with strength through weaker big men scoring in the paint with touch and good footwork. Cicic is an excellent area rebounder that snatches them in bunches and clogs the lane defensively.
Jaden Smith Jaden Smith 6'10" | C Kenwood | 2024 State IL (Kenwood)
Current Ranking: #29
Smith is a prospect that we continue to see flashes, but want to see him bring it at a higher level more often. The physical tools are there with his size, strength, length, and athleticism. He has skill too being able to score with either hand and run the floor. June will be a huge month for him.
