I was blown away with the developments Tyler has made to his game since this past winter season. He looked really good creating shots for himself off the dribble, being able to hit shots off balance. He also impressed me getting down hill and finishing at the rim, where he almost threw down a contested dunk in traffic. I saw him connect with some catch-and-shoot threes as well, which I was used to seeing from Wagner. Tyler is in for a breakout junior season.

Desmond turned in an excellent performance on Monday, totaling a game-high 31 points to lead his team to a win over St. Cloud Tech. He can move so quickly with the ball in hands and was blowing by defenders all game. He has a variety of ways he can finish at the basket, getting all the way to the rim and hitting some floaters as well. Ware is also a knockdown shooter and was pulling from deep beyond the three-point-line. On top of that, he is a very gifted passer and was creating easy looks for his teammates.

Abu has made great strides as a perimeter shooter in the past couple months and it was very evident on Monday. He connected with four catch-and-shoot threes, getting shots off quick with no hesitation. This included a game-sealing shot with around a minute left to play. I also saw him show off his athleticism, throwing down a very strong two-handed dunk through traffic. Keita’s game is much more balanced this season and looks like a division one caliber player.
Highlights
Spencer’s versatility was the trait that stuck out to me most about his game. He stands at 6-foot-6, holding down the paint on the defensive end as he was the tallest player on the floor for Sauk Rapids-Rice. Offensively, he showed off his ability to score from different levels and handle the ball to create looks for himself. I saw him knock down shots from beyond the arc, as well as finishing inside, coming from the post or while running in transition.

Jalen was super tough to stop from getting to the basket in the win over Osseo and he continues to prove why he is one of the top 2025 prospects in the midwest. He did a great job crashing the offensive boards, converting on some second chance looks. He made some pretty finishes in the post as well, going to the deep bag of moves that he has. Wilson is an extremely efficient player who is automatic around the cup and always makes the most out of every opportunity he gets with the ball in his hands.
Highlights
Chace’s tough shot making ability really stood out to me and some of the looks he was hitting were almost unguardable. He is super difficult to stay in front of with the ball in his hands and can change direction in a flash to get around the defender in front of him. He served as the main ball handling option for Totino-Grace, making smart decisions and getting his teammates involved. I saw him run the floor for some transition finishes as well.
Isa was flying around the floor for the Skippers and was causing major disruption on the defensive end. He was constantly poking the ball away from opposing ball handlers and even came away with some offensive rebounds, hustling for them after they had hit the floor. He is also a very crafty ball handler and creative passer, making some next level reads to pick up some assists. On one occasion, El-Amin stole the ball from an opponent, then transitioned to knock down a wide open pull-up three.
Highlights
Jake shot lights out from deep in his matchup with Sauk Rapids-Rice. The 2025 guard was great at moving off the ball to create an open look for himself, then being able to catch and get a shot off quickly before a defender could get a solid contest. He hit a couple three-pointers off the dribble as well, sometimes pulling up in transition. I also saw him get downhill for a contested finish. Schultz is a sniper and could have some big scoring outbursts this upcoming season.
Highlights
Hudson was a beast inside on Monday, using his next level combination of size and athleticism to dominate. He was a scary defensive presence inside, sending opponents’ shots back whenever the opportunity arose. He also jumped a passing lane which resulted in a two-hand flush on the other end. Omoke used his strength to will his way to the basket for contested finishes as well. I was really impressed with this Sauk Rapids-Rice team as a whole.
Highlights
Duke has continued to impress me as a scorer this spring and summer, showcasing his abilities once again on Monday. He has the ability to shoot it from deep off the catch or off the dribble, but worked more inside in their matchup with Totino-Grace. I saw him back cut for an open layup, as well as finish through a larger defender, hanging in the air to avoid his shot from being blocked. He also hit a tough, fading mid-range jumper in the first half. Richardson will be very valuable for this Minnetonka team this coming season.
