The 2024 Palmetto State made quite the impression last weekend in Rock Hill at the SC Live Team Camp. One last go around for this going to be senior class here at the #SCLive Let's dive into the action right here with some Point Guards that we saw while in attendance on your source for basketball coverage in the Palmetto State #RecruitThePalmettoState

[player_tooltip player_id='1082599' first='Christian' last='Andrews']

Andrews helped the Dorman HS Cavaliers to the Class 5A State Championship last season. Christian is great when it comes to playing at nice even keel on the floor. He does a good job of penetrating and kicking to the open man and being a pass first point guard for the Cavaliers. Andrews surely doesn't lack confidence on the floor from the leader position on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1155909' first='DJ' last='Harvey']

Harvey had a strong showing here for the Christ Church Cavaliers. DJ has had a good spring and summer since winning a Class 1A State Championship this season. He has extended his shot to me more consistent from the perimeter. DJ is the absolute table setter on the floor and plays a bit of an old school style game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1019804' first='Damon' last='Howey']

Howey can play both spots in the backcourt, but he really enjoys have the ball in his hands as much as possible. Damon now at Camden HS had previously attended Lugoff-Elgin HS. Howey is geared to score the ball from the backcourt, and he can do just that.

[player_tooltip player_id='1220047' first='Darius' last='Elkins']

Elkins will be a point guard at the next level after high school. Darius is a left-handed guard who likes to play fast and a bit chaotic at times. He really looks to bring ball pressure on the defensive side of the floor and create steals heading the other direction. Darius will look to lead the Newberry HS Bulldogs to a deep run this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1149795' first='Ty'ree' last='Edwards']

Edwards plays a bit off the grid down at Woodland HS in the [program_tooltip program_id='2078736' first='[program_tooltip program_id='2078736' first='Lowcountry' last='']' last='']. The Wolverines point guard runs with the Charleston Raptors on the Grassroots Circuit. Ty'ree was able to finish some mid-range jumpers today when he was stalking to the cup.

[player_tooltip player_id='1509895' first='Gabriel' last='Cusack']

Cusack can handle both positions for the Marion HS Swamp Foxes when called upon at times. Gabriel is a 3-year starter on the football field as a Quarterback. Cusack certainly can deliver some punishment to defenders with his ability to attack the rack or simply stop and pop from downtown. Gabriel will have one last dance this season to get over the hump down in the Pee Dee with new Head Coach DJ Kelly at the helm.

[player_tooltip player_id='1008884' first='JJ' last='Moore']

Moore looks to be running the show for the Gray Collegiate War Eagles this season. JJ directed the offense and made some crisp passes along the way today with his play. He was able to connect on some three-pointers when he wasn't setting up his teammates on the floor.
