The annual University of Oregon team camp kicks off tomorrow at 12:30 in Eugene and our Prep Hoops team will be there to cover the action. UO team camp has traditionally been a place for players to put their names on the radar against top notch competition. Here are a few names that have been garnering buzz in the recruiting community!

[player_tooltip player_id='1606556' first='Ty' last='Read'] C Sheldon 2026

The 6'9" rising sophomore will play a big role for Eric Orton's Irish team this season. So far this spring he has shown off his shooting stroke from deep. It will be interesting to see him up against some stiff competition both from Oregon teams and out of state squads.

[player_tooltip player_id='1110574' first='Owen' last='Cramer'] G Sheldon 2024

Cramer has been a consistent force for the Irish since his emergence as a sophomore. Going into his senior campaign he has been the leader for a Sheldon team that has lost some key players from last year to graduation and transfer. Cramer is the straw that stirs the drink for the offense and provides a spark plug on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2348781' first='Eli' last='Forsha'] G/F Sheldon 2025

Forsha is an elite athlete who has shown glimpses of a high ceiling. It will be interesting to see his progression this summer and fall. He has the athletic tools to be one of the top players in the Eugene area this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2351853' first='Jace' last='Litten'] G/F Churchill 2026

Litten is the part of a young core that will need a few seasons to grow together for Sky Stickney's Lancers. He has an all around solid game and can defend multiple positions. Look for him to have a breakout sophomore campaign.

Elias McKinnis G North Eugene 2024

The sharpshooting McKinnis is looking to take a greater role this year for the Highlanders as they try to improve on their 4th place finish in Corvallis last year. The word is that McKinnis has found his way into some high level games in the Eugene area and has been holding his own.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598089' first='Max' last='Montgomery'] G Churchill 2024

Montgomery had a few great games last year on a senior heavy Lancer team. His defensive game has grown this off season and he has been a menace to ball handlers all spring. Pair that with his deep 3 point range and you have a classic 3 and D type player. Churchill graduated a lot of talent and will look to their senior guard to lead them in the 5A Midwestern league.

[player_tooltip player_id='1908816' first='Trey' last='Saunders'] G South Eugene 2024

If you are looking for someone to give you instant offense then look no further than Saunders. Saunders was slowed by injury last year but did have a couple of offensive explosions including 37 against South Salem. With the graduation of Solomon Nice, Saunders will need to be a workhorse for Solomon Harris and his Axe team.

Trayshawn Wright G

Wright is another rising sophomore that could be one of the top players in the Willamette valley for the next couple of years. He is a relentless defender and natural leader for Churchill.
