Cameron Barnes (Lee’s Summit West): The 6’8″ combo forward is one of the top incoming freshman in the country. He plays 15U with the MoKan Elite squad in the Nike EYBL circuit. He is a very skilled young player who already has the body of a college athlete. He is very comfortable on the perimeter as he was beating defenders off the dribble and knocking down 3-pointers off the pick and pop. He has the physical strength to get his business done in the paint and on the boards. His addition to the program makes a strong Lee’s Summit West team even stronger heading into the 2024 season.

(Webster Groves): The 6’3″ guard looked very impressive over the weekend as he played with his usual fast pace and athleticism at both ends of the court. He attacks the basket consistently and he is very tough to keep out of the paint when he wants to get downhill. He also showcased a nice 3-point stroke to compliment his very impressive drive game. He is another impressive incoming freshman who figures to make a big impact at the varsity level next season.

Jimmy McKinney (Vashon): The 6’0″ guard is a Vashon legacy as the son of former Vashon star and University of Missouri standout Jimmy McKinney. The talented youngster is an excellent perimeter shooter with nice handles and the ability to create his own shot off the dribble. He has an effective jab step to set up his moves to go along with a quick first step to get by defenders. He plays with the Brad Beal Elite 15U team on the Nike EYBL circuit during the grassroots season.

Adam McKnight (Nixa): A young 6’4″ forward who is put together quite nicely and he more than held his own against older players when during the time that I watched him. I was impressed with his rebounding ability. He held his position well and he got out of his area in his pursuit for rebounds. He plays bigger than his actual size with his strength and his high activity rate.

Brandon Rooks Brandon Rooks 6'0" | PG Battle | 2027 State MO (Battle): A 5’11” point guard who is one of the top young incoming freshmen in the Mid-Mo area. He has good quickness and he moves in a very controlled manner where he doesn’t get sped up. He showed some good poise as a ball handler and playmaker when he entered the game. He can slice and penetrate in the lane on penetrating drives he drained his open 3-pointers when they presented themselves.

Jackson Tabash (St. Mary’s): A 5’9″ guard who continued his impressive perimeter shooting that we have been watching during the month of June. His shooting range stretches well beyond the 3-point line and he has a lot of confidence in that quick release of his. He is very adept at moving to the open spots on the floor he keeps things spaced for his teammates.

Leon Powell (Vashon): A talented youngster who is another Vashon legacy as the son of former Wolverines standout and SEMO player Leon Powell. Young Leon is about 6’1″ with excellent length who projects as a tall wing player in the future. He has solid handles and the ability to break down defenders with a variety of escape moves. He finishes well on his slicing drives in the lane and he can hit the open 3-pointer.
