It’s not often that 8th Graders get selected to an All-Region Team, but that is exactly the type of year Jaden Johnson Jaden Johnson 5’7″ | PG Southside | 2027 State SC had last season. His talent level is through the rough in comparison to the Class of AAA, regardless of age. Jaden sees passes that no one else on the floor can see, yet is also one of the top scorers in his class. He can do it from all three levels as well, and once his body matures fully he will be near unstoppable on the offensive end.
Speaking of dominant Rising Freshman, RJ Davis RJ Davis 6’5″ | PF Clear Dot Charter | 2028 SC fits into that category as well. However, he does it in a multitude of different ways. RJ’s defensive instincts are special, due to both his length and athleticism. He can affect shots both in the paint and on the perimeter, and is a good rebounder as well. Those in the Union County area are excited about the prospect of what Davis can be, and he will have plenty of time to prove it starting at the 5 from Day 1 of his Freshman Season.
Eric Gray Eric Gray 5’10” | PG Union County | 2025 State SC might still be a year away from his breakout season as a Yellow Jacket, but he still has developed nicely in the Summer between his Freshman and Sophomore Seasons. He really took the weight room seriously, and his Upper Body looks noticeably stronger. Eric also looks more comfortable with the ball in his hands, and as a result, he will likely get an increase in minutes as a Lead Guard for Union County in the Upcoming Season.
Tre Suber
Tre Suber
Tre is another Centurion who added major production off the bench on Wednesday. He showed a knack to make things happen on the Offensive End and even stretched the floor and knocked down several threes. Although he was really good in all three, his best game came in a Win over Union County when he had 11 Points and 7 Rebounds in just over 20 Minutes of Action. Expect his production and minutes to increase as the season goes on for this Centurion Team.
Kiishawn Farrow
Kiishawn Farrow
Alongside the aforementioned Jaden Johnson Jaden Johnson 5’7″ | PG Southside | 2027 State SC , the addition of Kiishawn Farrow to this Southside Backcourt makes it one of the youngest in the Upstate. They will have their ups and downs, but Farrow plays with IQ above his age. He is a great passer and a smart ball handler and rarely forces the issue which is a welcomed attribute for a player his age. It will interesting to see Farrow and the rest of this Southside team in action in the Upcoming Season.
Lance King
Lance King
King also provided great bench minutes for his team on Wednesday. However, he did so from a Spot-Up Role. He both knocked down shots and aggressively drove into the paint. The Southside Backcourt seems to be set for years to come, but Lance King could carve out a nice role for himself and create much-needed spacing for this Tiger Offense.
