Kennison showed clutch shotmaking while leading his team to success on multiple occasions this weekend. The guard knows his spots, finding areas where he is most efficient to get a bucket. Kennison reaffirmed his consistent shooting off the catch, knocking down multiple threes per game for Thompson Valley. His strength has repeatedly been an avenue to facilitate his drives, proving dependable at moving away opponents and finishing through contact. Perimeter defense has been another asset, given his combination of positional strength and lateral mobility.
Gavin Carter – Chaparral – 2024
One of the shiftiest guards in the state, Carter is a tough cover while attacking the rim. The guard creates plenty of space off the bounce through twitchy ball skills, making him incredibly unpredictable with the ball in his hands. His three point shot is continuing to become more consistent, off the catch and while stepping into the shot. This is all on top of his excellent defensive anticipation, leading to multiple steals per game.
Jackson Weber Jackson Weber 6'3" | SG Palmer | 2025 State CO – Palmer – 2025
Weber has one of the most prolific mid-range games in his class, proving capable of pulling up from anywhere on the floor. One area that is truly unique about Weber is that his shot base can be going any direction, forward, backwards, sideways it does not matter. No matter his positioning, the guard finds ways to be an effective scorer off the bounce, where he has been notably consistent through the spring and summer. Palmer continues to grow with their very youthful core of players, Weber is at the forefront of their offensive ceiling.
Hunter Roark Hunter Roark 6'3" | PG Stargate | 2025 State CO – Stargate – 2025
Roark was selfless throughout this event, maximizing his opportunity on the Colorado All-Stars team as a facilitator. The incoming junior was constantly surveying the floor for passing lanes, under a variety of circumstances. The guard often sought outlet passes to teammates along the break, leading to open jump shots and convenient spots for layups. He also showed times with more difficult passing decisions, such as one-handed skip passes across the floor to the corner shooter. Defensively, Roark is sturdy and has strong hands which lead to blocks or tipped balls, allowing for steals and fast break opportunities. His continued growth as an ambidextrous playmaker and scorer will be worth tracking, given how well he manipulates the floor with the right hand.
Justus Michael Justus Michael 6'1" | CG Northfield | 2024 State CO – Northfield – 2024
Michael is a bulky guard who can get downhill through his ball skills and raw strength or leverage the downhill gravity for his pull-ups. The incoming senior is a tough shotmaker, who has no fear about scoring through the contest. The guard has proven himself as an efficient scorer through last high school season, look for the guard to continue building on his dominance throughout July. Michael possesses a college ready frame, certainly one of the incoming offensive leaders for a very young Northfield core.
Tanner Braktea – Ralston Valley – 2025
Braketa is a consistent cover on here and for good reason. The guard is a dynamic shotmaker off the catch or dribble, getting more comfortable at changing speeds in the halfcourt. He provides consistent perimeter defense, providing effective positioning to limit drives.
