McLawrence was a very tough opponent to score on, quite possibly the best point of attack defender from this event. At roughly 6'3, the guard stuck onto opposing ball handlers like glue, thanks to a variety of factors.
[player_tooltip player_id='1284512' first='Johnnie' last='Reed'] - Windsor - 2024

Reed proved highly impactful on both ends of the floor, using his quick instincts and superb strength to be a constant positive impact. Windsor has been on a tear throughout local June team camps, Reed playing a major part of their success. Through his time this weekend, Reed got to his spots and scored efficiently around the rim on strength based opportunities. Often getting to the rim with the power dribble, Reed was effective at moving away opponents with the shoulder and scoring with either hand. His rebounding intensity was notable, showcasing multiple possessions with three straight offensive rebounds or tips, leading to putbacks. Reed's passing instincts were another area of value, hitting backdoor cutters in the perfect spots to finish before help arrived. This is all on top of his higher volume of jump shot attempts, proving his value as a versatile complementary scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1285120' first='Brady' last='Greene'] - Horizon - 2024

There are few prospects in the state who embody Greene's consistent hustle throughout every possession. The wiry strong forward was constantly on the prowl for loose balls, quickly getting to full sprints on those opportunities and eagerly diving to regain possession. Simply put, Greene is all business on the floor. His intensity carried over to defensive rotations, quickly clogging the lane for drivers and being ready to get physical on blocks. He continued to build upon his baseline of scoring around the rim from drives, attacking closeouts and finishing efficiently at the rim regardless of the contest.

[player_tooltip player_id='1764308' first='Xavier' last='Davis'] - Pueblo Central - 2024

Davis got to his spots on offense, taking advantage of off-ball movement or attacking downhill to contribute on difficult shot attempts. The 6'3 guard was especially strong with the ball, utilizing his power to create space in the mid-range for turnaround fadeaways and short pull-up jumpers. On the opposite end, Davis held his own against 1s, 2s, and 3s thanks to his combination of lateral mobility and above average strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578011' first='Jayce' last='King'] - Fort Collins - 2024

King has been a frequent cover, this weekend was no different for the guard. Bringing constant energy on the defensive end, King was assertive on double teams, leading to multiple turnovers per game. At the point of attack, he does well getting low into his stance and blocking off driving lanes. Offensively, King was steady getting to his jump shot all over the floor and finishing through contact at the rim, double clutching on a few drives. King is one of the most refined guards in the state, truly a three-level scorer.
