TONS of Teams from all across the state will be in one location the entire weekend with locations of the games being in the Carmel/Westfield area. This is also a live evaluation period so D1 coaches should be out in full force watching multiple prospects which should lead to some players picking up scholarship offers. With all that said, let’s take a look at 6 potential breakout players to watch at Charlie Hughes.
Keenan Garner Keenan Garner 6'6" | PF Fishers | 2024 State IN – 6’6 2024 PF – Fishers High School
At 6-foot-6, the Fishers forward has really proved to be one of the more underrated players this entire spring/summer. What makes Garner such an intriguing prospect is that he has the size, skill, and playmaking ability to play both in the post and and wing. He does a great putting the ball on the floor and using his strong frame to score through traffic. The Charlie Hughes Showcase provides a great opportunity for Garner as he will playing alongside teammate Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN who will not only have a host of college coaches watching Fishers’ games, but Haralson just makes players better around him. You should get a better sense of what level player Garner currently is this weekend.
Even though Dunham is a top 10 player in the in-state 2024 class and plays for one of the top AAU teams in the nation, Indiana Elite, it still feels as though Dunham does not get the amount of attention he should be getting. If you haven’t seen Dunham play, he is one of the more skilled on-ball guards we have in the state and is a player that can just make plays happen. He also has a nice combo of high IQ, athleticism, and quickness which combined makes him a tough lead lead guard to contain. His recommitment has been a little quiet these past few years with his only real known offer coming from Evansville. A nice showing this weekend would likely get more D1s involved.
The 6-foot-6 big man out of South Ripley is starting to become a real intriguing prospect and has been sneaky stock-riser since last season. He plays with a fantastic motor and with his long, lanky size he is starting to prove to be one of the more versatile bigs in the 2025 in-state class. He can stretch the floor as well as the typical post things that guys his size can do. His best asset could be how aggressive he is on the glass and how hard he crashes that area to get the boards. The right performance in front of the right people could really get the ball rolling in his recruitment.
Rivera might be the smoothest on-ball player on this list and has looked real impressive this past spring and the first part of the summer. He is one of the more pure scorers in this in-state 2025 class and his ability to knock down the deep ball at a high level is what is going to get coaches to take notice. Rivera is also a dynamic playmaker is very good at creating for himself off of the dribble. If he can produce and provide some high scoring outbursts, he could take his recruitment to a new level.

Roseman is the only 2026 player on this list and due to his level of play the past 2 months, you can start to see the potential. Roseman is one of the best mind-range and creative finishers we have in the state and is a player that can put up big numbers in a hurry. With only being a sophomore, he plays with a style that you’d see out of an upperclassman and his high IQ with the ball is a standout of his. There are a lot of 2026s ready to start breaking from the pack and get into that top tier of sophomores. Roseman could breakout this weekend.

Sims comes into this weekend as arguably a top 10 player when it comes to pure athletic ability. At 6-foot-6, the Chesterton power forward has a lot of the tools that you see out of D1 players when it comes to natural athleticism, rim-running, and explosiveness. He still is pretty raw in certain aspects of the game but has looked a little better making plays and moves on the ball that what was seen in the past. On the defensive end, he provides versatility guarding multiple spots. No question about it, Sims will make a bunch of highlight type of plays around the basket this weekend however, it will be the others areas on the offensive side of the floor the he must show he can do in order to breakout this weekend.
