Pinewood Prep Wins the Day:
The Panthers finished the day perfect under legendary Head Coach Pat Eidson. The Panthers returned Michael Vince Michael Vince 6'5" | SG Pinewood Prep | 2024 State SC , Troy Dandridge and Jonathan Slawson Jonathan Slawson 5'11" | PG Pinewood Prep | 2026 State SC back to the lineup this season.
Cathedral Academy Finishes 2nd Place:
The host Generals will rely on freshman sensation Bryce Ward Bryce Ward 5'9" | PG Cathedral Academy | 2027 State SC to lead the way this season for Head Coach Blake Ferguson. AJ Gresham AJ Gresham 6'0" | CG Cathedral Academy | 2025 State SC was the name who really impressed us today with his play. Gresham a junior was all over the court scoring the ball from all 3 levels on the floor.
Faith Christian is in Rebuild Mode:
The Knights won the SCISA Class 1A State Championship last season over Richard Winn Academy and finished the year at (24-2). This season looks to be a bit of a rebuild year for Head Coach Steve Guerry. Who will step-up and take lead?
Who’s this new team in SCISA Class 1A:
Riverpointe Christian Academy is located in North Charleston. This program is a first-year program looking to make some noise. Kevin Dukes Kevin Dukes 6'3" | SF Cane Bay | 2025 State SC a transfer from Stall HS leads the way. Dukes averaged 18.8 ppg and 6.9 rebounds last season at the Class 5A level. Head Coach Ivan Jenkins had these kids all over the floor today and playing hard from beginning to end.
Double-Duty:
Laurence Manning Academy Head Coach Will Epps will coach both the varsity boys and varsity girl’s teams this coming season.
Andrew Jackson Academy Lost A lot of Scoring Punch:
Who will step-up and replace three key members of last season’s team? Head Coach Josh Barnes has to find some scoring this season.
