There was tons of skilled players this past weekend for California Live at the different venues all across Orange County. These six players stood out as players that have already upped their game from last season and will continue to boost their stock and rise above their competition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630618' first='Nik' last='Khamenia'] – SF – 6'7” – 2025 Harvard-Westlake

A versatile forward that has the combination of size and skill to play all five positions on the floor offensively and can defend them on the other end. His scoring abilities are not limited, but his biggest strength is his shooting touch. He makes good decisions as a ball handler and also has a high IQ to play around other great players.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956463' first='Brandon' last='McCoy Jr.'] – PG – 6'4” – 2026 St. John Bosco

He is a young shot creating guard that thrives in the open space and plays well with and without the ball. With the ball in his hands, he has absurd handles and great size for an underclassman. The ability to create space on his jumpers and being able to get to the hoop with ease are ways he sets himself apart.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253213' first='Zion' last='Wilburn'] – SF – 6'7” – 2024 Pinole Valley

A lefty wing that defensively can guard anyone on the basketball floor. He is able to slash in both directions and finish with both hands around the rim with the best of them. He has a solid build to go with his size, helping him to be an excellent rebounder that likes to push in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502769' first='Trent' last='Perry'] – PG – 6'4” – 2024 Harvard-Westlake

Strong built point guard that is a five-tool player that gets wherever he wants on the court. He is a winner who does a lot of his damage with his pull-up jumper whether it is from three or the mid-range. With his NBA frame already, he is also an elite finisher around the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956542' first='Kaiden' last='Bailey'] – PG – 6'2” – 2026 Crean Lutheran

This young guard has the demeanor and strength of a college player as just an upcoming sophomore. He has the mentality of always attacking and bullies through the contact at the rim. This point guard also brings an intensity defensively as an on-ball defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630619' first='Jovani' last='Ruff'] – SG – 6'5” – 2025 Long Beach Poly

He is a capable scorer that has no limits on the offensive end. His greatest strength is the fact that he does play quality basketball and has amazing vision finding his teammates. What makes him great though is his off-ball play which allows him to play around more ball-dominant players.
