#1. (Pictured) Our #1 ranked player has committed to the University of North Carolina. The future Tar Heel is one of many New Yorkers that have gone the Tobacco Road route. UNC is getting an extremely athletic guard who is very versatile. Has the body to be able to guard multiple positions. Strong of the bounce getting to the rim. Elusive handle uses his body to get by and protect the ball. Very capable of knocking down perimeter shots.
3. Dwayne has signed to be a Cyclone at Iowa State. A bona fide stud. Does many positive things on the court. Excellent body control getting to the rim explosive with great lift on his jumper. Has the body type to project him as another versatile player on offense or defense.
10. Elijah has committed to Syracuse university. The Orangeman have had some really good shooters from beyond the arc. Elijah fits with that group. Coach Lods from Cardinal Hayes has told me many times he feels he is the best shooter he has coached in his 20+ years. Outstanding shooter off the catch. Quick release. He has also shown the ability to get his three off his own dribble. High basketball IQ and a great feel for the game. He has the shooting touch to affect games at critical points by draining threes.
11. Cardinal Hayes sends another player to a power five conference. Adam has committed to Washington State. Extremely quick player. Has shown the ability to change speeds and direction in transition or the half court. He is a strong creative finisher off the bounce. Also can get into the lane draw defenders and then find the open man for a spot up three or a duck in.
Highlights
2. No surprise that our second ranked player in our rankings is a player who we feel college programs should make a priority. Boogie is a guard who can play either spot. Excellent court vision and awareness. A lights out shooter from three. Has unlimited range. Shoots it off the catch or off his own dribble equally consistent. A warrior, fearless and coach on the floor. Reads the defense and then attacks the weakness. Tremendous distributor of the ball,
17. Let’s go down the list a little bit to let you know about Qadir. Not many people knew of him when we saw him at a preseason team camp. But now the whole CHSAA gameplans against him. Really good athletic defender. Can block or alter shots. Has that ability to block a shot and gain possession. Athletic in the paint with quick spins and elevates for dunks or finishing inside with great footwork. Excellent face up game. Soft touch of his midrange jumper. Will see his already nice selection of D1 offers escalate.
