I was only able to catch one of the games that the 17U had going late Friday night. There were some stats put up by a couple players. There were also some prospects, regardless of those stats. Here’s my top 5 prospects from BDH ELITE 17U vs ECBA Team Baskett.
- Braydon Olson Braydon Olson 6'2" | CG Mark Morris | 2024 State WA – Tough call with the 6’4 Dylan Jay Dylan Jay 6'4" | SG Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ on the other side but I give the number one spot to Olson for his elite skill-set. In a couple years, this kid could be scary good with added strength and maturity.
- Dylan Jay Dylan Jay 6'4" | SG Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ – A long and athletic sniper who can shoot it from anywhere on the floor. He is also a good athlete who runs the floor and can finish with the best of them. His size and length are added decorations to his athletic sniper game.
- Champ Powaukee Champ Powaukee 6'4" | SG Pullman | 2024 State WA – Length and athleticism. He has both and is a versatile wing player. He can take it coast to coast in a hurry. Could be lock down defensive player who can score inside and out.
- Amari Harris Amari Harris 6'2" | CG Cleveland | 2024 State WA – He’s already built for the next level. Strong guard who can get to the bucket. Handles the rock with a quickness on the perimeter. Can D up with that quickness as well. Made some good passes for open looks from penetration. Could work on the jumper, making him more of a knock down shooter.
- #14 – For ECBA Team Baskett – This is a good example of why readily available rosters work best. Played tough inside and out. Decent size and high motor. Tough on the boards and knocked down a three. Hit the glass hard.
