Even though Pullman suffered the loss against Rogers last week, Powaukee showed how impactful he can be in a lot of areas while leading the Greyhounds’ attack. He’s a much more confident dribbler with bodies around and demonstrates good patience and stop-and-go to weave through defenders inside and find space for shots. He got a lot of buckets to go at the rim but also shot a good amount from the outside while keeping a good percentage from 3. Aside from scoring, he was quick to react to loose balls, made a couple of highlight defensive plays, and overall looked very confident and in control as a primary ballhandler. They’ll face off against Enumclaw tomorrow night to see who will travel to the Sun Dome and who will go home.

Powaukee played a strong complimentary role last season for the Greyhounds but should step into a larger role offensively while maintaining his defensive impact. He’s a next-level athlete who’s shown an all-around impact on the floor. Pullman will be an interesting team to watch that has the talent to compete. Look for Powaukee to step up big for them this season.

Champ has been a rising prospect since the beginning of last season. He’s a perfect glue guy, being able to do a little bit of everything on both sides of the ball. He can defend multiple positions, being able to lock up guards or a big man down low in the paint. He attacks the bucket aggressively and takes care of the ball well when going down the paint. His jumper has been gaining consistency so he is able to rely on it a lot more and create jumpers for himself. He is going to have a big time senior season.

Powaukee is another next-level athlete who has sky-high potential. He does a little bit of everything on the floor, but he is another player that could really benefit from improving his handle. When he has space to operate, he gets to the cup and can bury shots from long-range, but the ability to handle the ball under pressure, get through traffic, and create more space for jump shots off the dribble could really alleviate a lot of the struggles he experiences offensively. His game could really take off with a little bit of fine-tuning, starting with the dribble.

Previous Rank: 62rnPowaukee is the first wing on this list of risers and could have the most well-rounded game of the players mentioned. He’s a big kid at 6-foot-4, has a good wingspan which translates to high-level defense, good rebounding, and strong finishing at the rim. He’s an above average athlete who can wham one down or catch an alley-oop, and he has an improved outside shot that brings his whole game together. He was a secondary scorer for the top-ranked Greyhounds last season and should step right into the leading role next season, with an opportunity to showcase more playmaking and scoring.
