That is the criteria for being in this article of some of the best shooters at the NYBA #Primetime Showcase tourney. I did not see many that got it done from a distance, but here are the ones I saw with an added addition…

Jedidiah is a lengthy wing player who scored well from behind the arc. He has good positional size and length and showed a lot of promise being able to score the rock in c&s opportunities. With his size, length, and scoring ability, he has a chance to develop into a productive offensive scoring option for his AAU team and his school team. He can obviously spread the floor with his shooting, but I would like to see the added dimension of being able to open things up with his slashing and creation off of the dribble. If he can add that as a more consistent tool to his game, I look forward to JJ making some serious jumps in his game over the next two years of his high school career. For now, JJ can be trusted to remain a threat from behind the arc.
Marty Phillips (5’10/SG/’25/TN No Fear )

Marty was hands down one of the most prolific scorers at the tourney. He wasn’t just prolific from behind the arc, but he got it done off the bounce in the half-court and in transition. He is an intriguing player that got it done from all three levels. He has a smooth jump shot and was a major contributor to his squad from behind the arc. His team depends on his perimeter shooting to stretch the floor. Marty has room for improvement as a playmaker/facilitator off the bounce, but his ability to score the rock, particularly from deep, is definitely the strength of his game. During the entire tourney, I did not see anyone who shot the ball better than Marty from behind the arc.
Before you read about the final player in the sniper school, you will notice that he is a rising 9th-grader. He is still in middle school, but he was the only other player besides a 7th-grader who qualified for sniper school. I decided to add him to continue building the #SniperSchool series.

I have written about Ze’Keice from this tourney already, and you can go and check out my thoughts on his game at prephoopsnext.com. He is a budding athlete that can score in so many ways, which he proved with the ball in his hands off the bounce and in c&s opportunities from deep. I am not going to spend a lot of time breaking down his game here because, as I have mentioned, he has ink on him already from this tourney. Just know, Ze’Keice was one of the best regardless of class when it came to scoring from behind the arc.
