Kropp had an impressive playoff showing for Olentangy Liberty and continued this high level of play on the Nike EYBL circuit with All Ohio Red 16 U. A physical presence in the paint, Kropp moves his feet well and has the skill to move the ball within the offense and score from a variety of spots on the court. With his size, athleticism and production, Kropp will have a chance to get scholarship offers next spring and summer when college programs further prioritize recruiting 2025 high school prospects.
A late blooming big, Whorton is set to make a huge jump as a Junior with STVM. After playing a small role last season, expect him to be one of the main impact players this winter for the Irish. Still growing, I thought Whorton was around 6’6 in the winter but has grown to 6’7 and is pushing 6’8 now. Producing for OBC 16 U, Whorton is a physical presence in the paint and has nice touch around the rim and can finish with either hand. A guy for scholarship programs to start monitoring now and watching next spring.
Highlights
I watched a couple Maple Heights games and the last one I caught at the Cleveland Play By Play was by far Aniton’s best of the three games I caught. Aniton had a couple dunks, was running the floor with a purpose and engaged on both ends. Even knocking down a corner 3-pointer at the buzzer with a high arcing release. Aniton also has the athleticism to be an impact rim protector at the next level, there’s a lot to be intrigued by with Aniton.
