One of the more athletic bigs in northeast Ohio, Aniton has some physical tools that pop when you watch him play. A big who can move in space and protect the rim, Aniton has a lot of defensive upside. Still a long way away from contributing to a college program right now, Aniton is a player that a JUCO, post grad or redshirt year would be the best option to further develop as a player because the tools are there to become an impact guy down the line. Hoping to see the start of that progress this winter as Aniton has the talent to help a high school program win right now.

I watched a couple Maple Heights games and the last one I caught at the Cleveland Play By Play was by far Aniton’s best of the three games I caught. Aniton had a couple dunks, was running the floor with a purpose and engaged on both ends. Even knocking down a corner 3-pointer at the buzzer with a high arcing release. Aniton also has the athleticism to be an impact rim protector at the next level, there’s a lot to be intrigued by with Aniton.

This was my third time watching Maple Heights this season and Aniton had his best performance in this game that I’ve seen this season. Aniton was active around the rim, knocked down a 3-pointer at the buzzer and had a couple dunks. He looked more assertive and aggressive around the basket. With Aniton’s physical tools, he’s going to be a player who develops later and is showing that he’s getting closer to realizing his upside with production.

Probably the best explosive athlete in this article, Aniton has quick burst and gets up quickly to block and contest shots at the rim. I was impressed when I saw him for the Marshall Warriors in April and it looked like Aniton had grown in height when I saw him in June with Maple Heights. Aniton is a project big man who plays hard and has the physical frame to dominate on the interior. Progressing his offensive skill should be a focus this winter for Aniton but there’s a lot to be intrigued by right now.
