Below is a review of several recent happenings on the southeastern Pennsylvania (and beyond) recruiting scene.

SEPA Recruiting News:

[player_tooltip player_id='1279647' first='Sultan' last='Adewale'] – 6'9” / Senior / Neumann Goretti / Team Rio Univ. / Power Forward: The top ranked uncommitted prospect in the region was simply unstoppable in 2022-23. Adewale (15 ppg.; 10 rpg. and 2 bpg.) dominated the lane at both ends of the floor. The big fella (and [player_tooltip player_id='1116063' first='Robert' last='Wright III']) led NG to the PCL Championship game as well as the 4A state title contest. His outstanding season was recognized with 1st Team All-PCL as well as 1st Team 4A All-State honors. Adewale holds a handful of college offers already and this week he received one from Iona.

[player_tooltip player_id='1153953' first='Luke' last='Bevilacqua'] – 6'11” / Sophomore / George School / NJ Scholars Elite / Center: One of the top rated prospects in our updated 2025 rankings, Bevilacqua was a walking double-double (16 ppg. & 9 rpg.) during the high school season. In addition to being a serious low post threat, Bevilacqua (240 lbs.) is an extremely athletic and versatile center. He possesses a nice face up game and the ability to knock down threes. After the 2022-3 season he was named as a 1st Team All-FSL and a 2nd Team Non-PIAA All-State selection. Bevilacqua holds a handful of DI offers and was just re-offered by Rick Pitino and St. John's.

[player_tooltip player_id='1173984' first='Matt' last='Gilhool'] – 6'9″ / Junior / Long Island Lutheran / Philly Pride UAA / Power Forward: This stretch-4 style forward who averaged 10.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game at Westtown School this past season is in the news again. At the end of April, Gilhool announced he would be transferring to Long Island Lutheran (NY) for his senior season. Then earlier this week Gilhool posted on his social media that Temple University is the latest school to extend him an offer. He now holds over a dozen Division I offers.

Earle Greer, Jr. – 6'8" / Senior / Rocktop Academy / Team Final Red / Combo Guard: An athletic and extremely versatile scoring machine, Greer remains one of the top uncommitted seniors in the region. He averaged 25 ppg., posted three 50-burgers this winter and netted over 2,000-points during this past season. On defense he is a plus player who can guard on the perimeter, rebounds well, and block shots. Greer recently picked up an offer from Northern Illinois University and is generating significant interest from other DI programs.

[player_tooltip player_id='1406767' first='Munir' last='Greig'] – 6'7" / 8th Grade / Imhotep Charter / NJ Scholars Elite / Wing: One of the most sought after 2027s in the region has decided that he will take his talents to Imhotep Charter for his freshman year of high school. So, the reigning two-time 5A state champion Panthers continue to reload. The long, agile, and speedy Greig is an elite athlete. He can score off the dribble, splash threes and thrives in transition.

SEPA Recent Commitments:

[player_tooltip player_id='933733' first='Darrien' last='Grady'] – 5'11" / Senior / Shipley School / We R1 UAA / Point Guard: Under the tutelage of Head Coach Alvin Williams (Villanova / Toronto Raptors) Grady has developed into a dynamic guard. In 2022-23 he averaged 15 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists per game. Grady's primary weapon is his textbook 3-point stroke. If a defender manages to chase him off the arc, Grady will use the dribble to get into the paint for floaters or lay-ins. He can also use the dribble to create for teammates. This week Grady committed to St. John Fisher University (D3).

[player_tooltip player_id='1835804' first='Jeremiah' last='Marshall'] – 6'3″ / Senior / Coatesville / Team Final Red / Combo Guard: During the 2022-23 season, Marshall registered 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 dimes per game while pushing Coatesville to the 6A state tourney quarterfinals. He posted a season high 24 points against Downingtown West. Marshall's outstanding season was rewarded with a 1st Team All-Ches-Mont selection. This 3-level scorer recently committed to Alvernia University (D3).

[player_tooltip player_id='991381' first='Shemar' last='Wilbanks-Acqui'] – 6'3” / Senior / West Catholic / K-Low Elite / Combo Guard: This season Wilbanks-Acqui was a tremendous two-way player for West Catholic's 4A state championship team. He averaged 12.6 points, 7 rebounds and 3 dimes per contest. Wilbanks-Acqui does the bulk of his damage in transition or off the dribble. He will drain the occasional three ball. Plus, he excels at turning steals / defections into easy buckets. Wilbanks-Acqui (3rd Team All-PCL selection) recently committed to East Stroudsburg University (D2).
