The 7 footer was a monster shot blocker across the games I saw. Whether he was sending shots flying off the court, or simply altering otherwise good looks, JT kept plenty of points off the board. Moves well at 7′ and has good timing when he jumps to contest. Offensively he was facing constant physical defense often from multiple players at a time, so the touches weren’t always there. He was efficient with the looks he did get though, as he simply had to turn over his left shoulder and use his soft touch to finish with a baby-hook. Showed off some athleticism with an alley-oop against MN Rush towards the end of Sunday.

His impact may not have shown up in a big way in the box scores, but I thought Parker put together a nice weekend with Real Phenom. He had the highlight reel putback dunk where he came flying in to finish off a teammate’s missed three, and also had a big swat in one of the games I watched showcasing his athleticism at 6’7. Real Phenom took down a really good Sanford Sports team, and Parker’s effort on the defensive end against a pair of D1 committed bigs was a big reason they came away with that win.
It’s rare to see a high schooler built like Shawn, let alone one who’s still only a sophomore. Shawn has the potential to be a monster in the paint as he’s listed at 6’7 and is build like a D1 football player. If he caught in the paint there wasn’t much opposing bigs could do as Shawn simply powered his way to efficient points in the paint. Rebounds at a high level on both ends. Shawn has the frame to defend against taller bigs as he can hold his ground against just about anyone, but moves pretty well at his size to get up and down the floor as well.
Andrew has some of the best footwork I’ve seen all year long, and displayed it with some impressive buckets from the block. He can hit you with a quick up & under move, simply pivot into a baby hook, or also spin in the opposite direction for a turnaround jumper. Quam does a great job of reading his defender and is able to counter just about anything they do to try to stop him. Can also handle it in the open floor and provide an outside shooting threat. Defensively he does well to wall-up around the rim and always seems to be in the right places to contest or rebound missed shots.
Highlights
At 6’8 Ben is a very intriguing prospect moving forward. He moves really well at his size, has a long and lean frame, and can pull-up for his jumper like a guard. Ben impressed with his ability to get into a mid-range shot efficiently off one or two dribbles, and even though he was always one of the tallest players on the floor, he gets good elevation on his shot making it even more difficult to contest him. Has the potential to develop into a dangerous stretch-forward over the next couple of years.
Molley impressed with his performance in Saturday’s final game. Going up against a team with two 6’10+ D1 committed bigs, Molley showed no fear. He was attacking the rim relentlessly, using his quickness at 6’7 to either go around or even at times go right into contact inside. Molley plays a lot more physical than his frame would suggest, using his right shoulder to shield off defenders while he finishes with the left. Has such a quick spin move to open up his shot and get away from slower bigs.
Alec would come in off the bench for Sanford Sports and they’d see no drop off in production at all. He has a strong frame and is quick off the floor for dunks when he gets a few inches of space around the basket. Really like his touch with the hook shot as well. In a close game with Minnesota Rush, I thought he was coming up with big shots and rebounds down the stretch that helped his team hold on to their lead and come away with a win.
