PHI was at Midwest Melee all weekend for a big time event! This week we will have a full examination of the event and prospects in it. Here are Midwest Melee: New Names Emerge!

Marty Dempsey (Illinois Drive 16U)

Dempsey lit up the nets on Friday night. The Taft 2025 two guard plays with swagger and can really shoot it from deep. Mixed in scoop shots and was actually a good off ball passer.

Keenan Pekovic (Illinois Central Elite 15U)

Strong bodied forward that displayed a nice right handed hook shot and seal on the block along with being able to stretch the floor for three triples.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598766' first='Ramzy' last='Barbarawi'] (Illinois T-Wolves 16U)

Plus shooter from deep that also knocked in some from the baseline Friday night. Crafty finisher around the hoop that can score in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2105274' first='Damien' last='Lewandowski'] (Illinois Attack 16U)

Notched a 16 point performance on Friday night. The four man was extremely active on the offensive glass, scored in the post, ran the floor, and can put it on the deck a bit from the mid-post.

[player_tooltip player_id='1439013' first='Julien' last='Doyle'] (The Work Foundation 17U)

Liked what Doyle brought to the table as a long and rangy small forward that continues to grow. Was effective on the defensive end with his shot blocking and offensively used his athleticism in the open floor and on the offensive glass. Upside here.

Treyvon Ali (DTM 17U)

This two guard had 17 points in their contest we caught on Saturday. Sound three point shooter with long arms. One to continue to track.

Ian Peters (Powerhouse 16U)

This 5'9” point guard from Evanston provided a spark for Powerhouse. He is a smaller guard that can really shoot the rock especially from three along with displaying some potential as a drive/kick passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2374547' first='Noah' last='Mason'] (Illinois Attack 17U)

The Oswego East 6'3” small forward has nice length and plays taller than his height. Very good three point shooter that drained them in bunches in the game we saw with a feathery stroke.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323314' first='Mikwan' last='Marshall'] (Team FVV 15U)

The Rockford Auburn combo guard was the heart and soul of the FVV group. Did the little things especially defensively getting steals while always being in attack mode offensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='1372556' first='Luke' last='Smith'] (All-In Athletics 16U)

Point guard from Addison Trail caught our attention for AIA at the 16U level. The 2025 guard is a plus shooter that also can score around the rim with toughness.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598649' first='Alejandro' last='Diaz'] (Chicago Lockdown 17U)

Fenton 6'1” shooting guard that has a crisp mid-range game elevating over defenders for buckets. That was definitely the strength of his game and showed some secondary playmaking skills.

Michael Smith (Illinois T-Wolves 17U)

Wiry shooting guard from Plainfield South that has nice size at 6'3” along with a silky smooth three point shot.
