This past weekend I made the drive down to Wichita, Kansas for Prep Hoops Midwest Grind Session. There was plenty of talent from the Midwest and the south competing at Wichita Hoops. Here are 5 guys that stood out to me the most and why they were selected All Tourney Team.

In games I watched he could nearly go get a bucket when he pleased. The 6'2 guard is a very athletic slasher and paired with his ability to handle to ball makes him a tough player to defend. He was often shifting his defender with his handle and finishing through or above traffic in the paint. Can create both separation and initiate contact to create an advantage when handling the ball. His ability to create off the bounce and convert on tough or awkward finishes is a very strong asset in his game. He's a capable shooter and will knock down the triple off the bounce or off the catch.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1444135"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"I've had the chance to watch Gunn back to back summers now. He was real solid last summer but he has only taken his game another step up this summer. He appears to be a lot more confident in his game and runs a solid lead guard for IAM3. Very poised ball handler under pressure that can blow by you as soon as you make the mistake and reach. Does a great job of finishing on both sides with both hands at the rim depending on what the defense gives or where his man is. He is a very hard nosed defender that they like to assign to opposing teams best players. Solid lateral quickness, active hands in passing lanes, and comes away with steals all over the floor.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_2_player_details_player_name":"Arthur de Souza Lima Videira","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_2_player_details_graduating_class":"2024","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_2_player_details_height":"6'8u0022","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_2_player_details_position":"77247","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_2_player_details_school":"Life Prep Academy","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_2_player_details_club_team":"HOH 2024","_player_evaluations_2_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_2_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_2_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Videira was one of 17u's most dominant players on both ends of the floor this past weekend. He was everywhere on both the court and filling up the stat sheet. He's got a lot of length at 6'8 and utilizes it specially well on the defensive end blocking and altering opposing players shots, rebounding, and getting hands in passing lanes. On the offensive end I would consider him more of a wing due to his mobility and vertical leap but saw some touches down low in HOH's subway action against a 2-3 zone. Did a great job of utilizing the ball fake, getting defenders off their feet, and finishing above the rim. If he wasn't able to get defenders off their feet he showed he could finish through contact as well. If you are looking for an athletic wing with length who can impact the game on both ends, Videira is your guy.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_3_player_details_player_name":"Triston Haynes","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_3_player_details_graduating_class":"2023","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_3_player_details_height":"6'0u0022","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_3_player_details_position":"77246","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_3_player_details_school":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_3_player_details_club_team":"Houston Jesters 2024","_player_evaluations_3_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_3_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_3_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Haynes was a very quick and shifty one guard who could flat out score the rock. As the jesters primary ball handler he was able to break off defenders seemingly whenever he pleased. With his tight handle and quick first step he was tough to contain. His ability to shift defenders and get to the rack was one of the best of the 17u division at the Midwest Grind Session. Finished well with both hands and can get creative with a contest. He can knock down the triple off the catch and off the bounce. Solid jumper from the left side and the ability to create shots for him and teammates was crucial in closer games.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_player_details_selected_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_4_player_details_player_name":"Justin Jones","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_4_player_details_graduating_class":"2024","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_4_player_details_height":"5'8u0022","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_4_player_details_position":"77246","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_4_player_details_school":"Midwest City High School","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_4_player_details_club_team":"Oklahoma Icons Elite 2024","_player_evaluations_4_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_4_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_4_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Jones was one of my personal favorite watches this weekend. This young man impacts the game tremendously for his team that doesn't involve the stat sheet one bit. Jones displayed true leadership all weekend and kept the standard high for both him and his teammates. He's a true leader on both ends of the floor, holding teammates accountable, making sure guys are matched up, orchestrating the offense, communicating extremely well on both ends of the floor, and provides encouragement when a teammate made a mistake. He is a high intensity defender that fly's around everywhere on the floor, on ball steals, passing lane steals, and can be seen diving for loose balls and setting up for charges. He's an aggressive slasher that absorbed contact, showed off a solid mid range, and displayed he could knock down the deep ball. Jones is a leader and a great teammate.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-6463d1cf0da0a"} /-->
