Continue ReadingAfter a brief stint at Spire Institute, he’s returning home to NC to play out his college career at Elizabeth City State University. He put together multiple impressive seasons at Trinity Christian before transferring to 71st HS and leading them to a state championship game appearance. His ability to score the ball in bunches as well as his athleticism are attributes that we fully expect to help him transition to the next level.
He’s been a big part of the success of the 71st Falcons over the last two seasons, and he took on a larger role this year, leading them to a conference championship as well as a nice run in the state playoffs. An undersized Power Forward that will most likely look to transition into a wing, he recently signed with Johnson C Smith, the same college program that his father played for and attended school.
The Louisburg HS double/double machine is off the boards and will join the North Carolina Wesleyan Bishops as they look to make a run at another conference championship. He’s the type of player that doesn’t mind doing any of the dirty work for his team, and we feel that he can make nice strides with his development over the next few years.
The star Guard from Wilmington picked up his first D1 offer from College of Charleston and will look to continue to add to his stock over the remainder of the summer. He’s a PG that can score, facilitate and defend at a high level, all while playing the game with an intensity and passion that you have to love.
Another unsigned senior that continues to build his stock, he recently picked up an offer from LeMoyne-Owen College, a program on the D2 level. He has shown over the years that he has the ability to make a high impact on games on both ends of the floor, is a versatile player and still has plenty of upside in his game.
The former Heritage High School guard spent his senior season at Word of God Christian playing against high level competition and would see his role increase as the season went on. He held numerous offers from JUCO, D2 and D3 programs and eventually made the decision to attend Georgia Southwestern, a program that competes on the D2 level.
The high-flying combo guard recently added an offer from East Carolina University, a program that seems to be on the rise after recently adding three top ranked players from NC in the past few years. Collins played a reserve role for his high school squad behind numerous high major prospects, but we fully expect for him to have his time to shine in the upcoming seasons.
He recently added another offer from Hampton University and will be a player to keep a close eye on throughout the remainder of the spring and summer. Athletic ability has been the attribute of his that caught attention early on, but he has continued to develop skillset wise, and we are now seeing his ability to be a true wing.
