There are now 16 Division I commitments in the class with at least one, maybe two more still to come. The Division II, Division III, NAIA, and Junior College levels are full of commitments from the Hoosier state as well. However, there are still prospects remaining on the board for coaches at all levels to recruiting depending on what they need to try and round out their respective classes. Let’s dive into highlighting five unsigned senior forwards and centers that are still looking for college homes.
A very athletic, physically impressive forward out of Decatur Central High School, Ball is one of the best remaining prospects on the board in Indiana. The 6’6″ Ball is a dominant force on the glass, finishes at the rim, and can bully his way through defenders around the basket. As a junior, he dominated the Class 3A state championship game going for 20 points and 17 rebounds as he helped Beech Grove cut down the nets. Recently received an offer from Glen Oaks. High level Junior College prospect. Has still been playing with Ty Harris Elite 2024.
Highlights
Annan has had a fantastic spring for Kyle Guy Elite Black 2024. The bouncy 6’6″ forward is an above-the-rim finisher, an excellent rebounder, and has really improved his versatility on both ends of the floor. He is capable of stepping out and making an open three-pointer, but still at his best around the basket. Any small college program that needs some size to finish out their 2023 class should be on Annan hard at this point. Annan is a good student as well.
Highlights
Being nearly 7-feet tall always will turn the heads of college coaches. Diper has insane length which he uses to be disruptive on the defensive end of the floor, rebound his area, and finish above the rim. He had an excellent senior season for Rock Hill Academy while helping lead them to a Class 1A Semi-State appearance. Getting a 6’11” center as a development piece could be very intriguing for a Junior College at this point in the recruiting process.
A big, powerful body around the basket, Rhoades is an under-the-radar post prospect coming out of Fishers High School. He has good hands and feet for size size, defends on the block well, and can rebound on both ends of the floor. Rhoades would be a perfect addition for a Junior College still in need of some additional size. 6’7″ with a strong frame.
After averaging 12.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for a successful Liberty Christian team as a senior, Watson has played well at times this spring for DI Indiana. He is a mobile 6’7″ forward that runs the floor well, can be effective rolling to the basket, and rebounds his area well. Has good athleticism for his size. Another small college prospect that should be on the list for schools needing to add some size late in the process.
