Callaghan Weatherspoon – 2024 – PG – Gem City Basketball Club
At the top of my list of tournament standouts is Callaghan Weatherspoon, a 5-foot-11 point guard out of Dayton, OH. The rising senior on the rosters of Chaminade-Julienne High School and Gem City Basketball Club caught my attention during a contest with Top1 Performance 17U in day two of the showcase, impressing me with his size, speed, physicality in the paint and rebounding. On the other side of the floor, Weatherspoon played physical man-to-man defense on the perimeter and underneath the basket, disrupting the offense’s rhythm while once again capitalizing on rebounding.

Ben Rodenbaugh Ben Rodenbaugh 6'3" | PG McBain | 2025 State MI – 2025 – PG/SG – REAL Basketball
Coming in at close second place on my list of top performers is Ben Rodenbaugh Ben Rodenbaugh 6'3" | PG McBain | 2025 State MI , a 6-foot-3 point guard and shooting guard out of McBain, MI. The rising junior on the rosters of McBain High School and REAL Basketball impressed me during a matchup against the INB Basketball Club in day two of the event. With outstanding size, speed and physicality on both sides of the floor, Rodenbaugh was a huge difference maker. Rodenbaugh can drive to the lane, take outside shots and muscle his way underneath the basket to claim the rebound. On the other side, Rodenbaugh utilized his size to slow down the other team in the paint.
Gavin Belli – 2026 – C/PF – M-14 Hoops Basketball Academy
At number three on my list of top tournament performers is Gavin Belli, a 6-foot-2 center and power forward out of St. Charles, IL. The rising sophomore on the rosters of St. Charles East High School and M-14 Hoops Basketball Academy initially caught my attention during a matchup against Mike Glennon Elite during day two of the event. In addition to impressive size and speed, Belli impressed me with his physicality, ball control and solid passing. Belli can pull up from range and drive to the rim, making him an unpredictable weapon on the court. On the other side of the floor, Belli contributed solid defense and hauled in a few notable rebounds.

Gardayee Walker – 2023 – C/PF – Top1 Performance 17U
Claiming the number four spot on my list of tournament standouts is Gardayee Walker, a 6-foot-5 center and power forward out of Detroit, MI. The standout on the roster of Top1 Performance 17U and former star at Canton High School, caught my attention in a matchup against Gem City Basketball Club during day two of the event, showcasing excellent communication with his teammates and efficiency at several areas the court. With great size, speed and physicality in the paint, Walker was efficient at both second chance layups and at collecting rebounds. On the other side of the floor, Walker was able to show off his toughness, contributing solid defense all throughout the tournament.

Brandon Didion – 2025 – PG/SG – Rice Basketball Academy
In the fifth place spot on my list of top tournament performers is Brandon Didion, a 5-foot-7 point guard and shooting guard out of Northwood, OH. The rising junior on the rosters of Northwood High School and Rice Basketball Academy initially caught my attention during a matchup against Team Takeoff in day two of the event. Didion was especially impressive on the offensive side of the ball, showcasing his standout shooting, sinking two-straight three-pointers in the second half to keep his team alive. Didion additionally impressed me with his speed as he can quickly make his way down the court, pull up for a jumper or drive to the basket.
