Friday night saw a lot of action and performances from this age division. We saw individual performances and then tandems that made their teams that much better by playing off of each other's strengths Below are just few that stepped up and stepped out. Some that we should know for future reference so that I can be the one to tell you ' I told you so".

#PHMidwest Melee

Jarvis Tolbert | 6'1" | G | South Bend Adams | | [player_tooltip player_id='2892547' first='Terrance' last='McCray'] | 6'2" | G | Michigan City | Indiana Game Elite

This is my second time this spring watching this Indiana Game Elite 2026 team and let me tell you that, when they are on, they can just get after it. They are athletic, fast, and stronger than you think. Tolbert might be the more solid built, where Terrence looks longer and wiry. No matter, because they will steal the ball from you, take it the length of the court, and finish tough at the rim. If this team stays within itself, it is one of the better ones in the circuit, that I have witnessed.

[player_tooltip player_id='2813043' first='Kyle' last='Irwin'] | 6'1" | G | Hersey | Ignite

I have talked and written about this Ignite team in the past, mainly because they are so young, and then they just kept on winning. Friday night though they walked into a tough competitor and were off just a bit and dropped their game. The reason I am writing about this prospect is because even in a lost I saw someone who gave consistent effort and produced like a lead guard should in both halves. Doing some of the little things needed. Solid example of even in a losing effort you can still do things to impress the scout.

Aiden Renicker | 6'1" | GW | Benet | Illinois Attack

This prospect might of have had the biggest night of any player in the division. He went for a whopping 27 points and looked the part. He played with a sense of urgency and played at a faster pace than anyone around him. In the first half of his game, he went for four buckets and a trey. In the second, he surely showed us all that he has a shot from deep, hitting 4 three pointers. You could tell he was feeling it, because the confidence just started flowing and the shots dropping. At 6'1" it felt that he played a lot bigger than that height. I witnessed a smooth floater and someone who was a willing rebounder. Call me impressed!

TJ Hillman | 5'10" | G | Naperville Center | Illinois Attack

While his teammate was just going off this one was the team's attitude. He went for a cool 19pts; 7 in first half & 12 in the second, including important free throws. Additionally, he hit 3 three pointers proving that Renicker-Hillman combo was just too much for their opponents on this night. During the contest they switched off being lead guard vs shooting guard and both showed leadership and execution.

Antony Bradley | 5'8" | G | Hillcrest | | William Adams | 6'4" | W | Homewood Flossmore | Clippers Nation

This tandem is one that works well together was glad I got to see this duo get after it. The guard prospect scored 21 points. Doing it by going to the hoop, getting to the line, and then adding a couple long range shots. Exactly what guards should be doing. The wing prospect hit 5 buckets and 4 free throws. They both did most of their damage in the second half when their team needed it the most. If this pair can stick together, I expect bigger things to come.
