JJ had a good high school season and that combo guard ability was well noted as he was able to get to the rim and slash like he usually does. Shooting improved a lot and he should be able to improve on the 9PPG he averaged last season at RSL Academy. He has the size and ability to be 15, 5 and 5. His athleticism should help him rebound at a high clip next season. Look for him to stock rise next high school season.
Owen is paying against some talent out on the East Gold circuit and he has faired well. His touch around the rim improves and he has great high finishing shot at 15 feet. He could be a major surprise in a year or two because he has not reached his potential. Kid could end up 6’11 and that would really make him a problem.
Highlights
Austin looked really good when he took over the reigns in Florida at a tournament and he just got hit with the injury bug. He is set to take over the PG position next year and he is an elite passer. He could emerge as one of those assist leader in 6A next year.
This big fella is a certified D1 player on the football field. He has racked up many offers and even pulled a BYU offer as a freshman. He put up 12 PPG and 7 RPG. Do not be surprised if the 280 lb. center averages a double-double next year. A few smart sets and he could get deep in the paint and be really tough to stop.
Drezdon has shown that he has a motor that can get him buckets and he can also defend. With a solid shot from deep he has made a killing slashing and getting to the rim. When he doesn’t get to the rim he can always hit those tough pull-up mid-range shots. He should have an excellent year next year with a new look Viewmont squad. Another player that has played well against solid competition this Spring.
