The Adidas May Classic is a staple on the Indiana grassroots schedule with some very good Indiana teams taking part in the tournament. Let’s quickly dive in and highlight eight prospects from Indiana to watch at the Adidas May Classic.
Ashley has been a bright spot for Ty Harris Elite 2025 on the UA Rise Circuit. The 6’5″ versatile forward has a very well-rounded skill set that includes using his length to score in the paint and his quickness to score on the perimeter. He is a very good rebounder for his position as well. Could be a breakout player going into the summer months.
An under-the-radar prospect out of Terre Haute South High School, this smaller point guard is one of the more dynamic playmakers you’ll find at the Adidas May Classic. He has really impressed this spring with Indiana Ice 2024 – 3SGB with his scoring ability off of the bounce. Baker creates separation on the perimeter and can make tough shots both beyond the arc and on his way to the basket.
Highlights
One of the better pure shooters and all-around scoring threats in the backcourt in Indiana’s Class of 2025, Couto will be playing at the Adidas May Classic with Grand Park Premier 2025 – UAA. He is so skilled with the ball in his hands both as a playmaker for his teammates or scoring it himself.
This 6’3″ wing has really developed into a “3-and-D” style prospect. Fitzgerald has always been an excellent catch-and-shoot threat, but he has really taken a step up athletically which has allowed him to improve on the defensive end. He is having a real stock-rising spring for Kyle Guy Elite Black 2024 and will be on display at the Adidas May Classic this weekend.
A 6’7″ pick-and-pop forward always is sure to catch some attention. Harvey was on the UA Rise Circuit with Ty Harris Elite 2024 so this will be a good chance for area college programs to catch him while he is playing closer to home. He is an excellent catch-and-shoot threat with serious range which really stretches the defense from the four-spot. Check him out this weekend at the Adidas May Classic.
There are few wings in the state of Indiana with more raw athleticism and versatility than the 6’6″ Murans. He has shown off some improved strength and physicality so far this spring which is starting to take his game to a new level. Really intriguing with his ability to stretch the defense beyond the arc and play above the rim inside.
Highlights
Singleton has been one of the real breakout stars so far this summer from Indiana. The 6’7″ forward helped lead Indiana Elite Team Tradition 2025 to a perfect 8-0 record through Chapters 1 and 2 on the Adidas Gold circuit which earned them a trip to the 3SSB Finals in July. He is an outstanding rebounder and versatile interior scorer.
Taylor is a skilled perimeter player that shoots it very well from beyond the arc and continues to showcase some increased playmaking skills off of the dribble. The 6’2″ guard has had a strong spring for Indiana Elite Team Indiana 2024 and should attract more and more small college attention heading into the summer months. He is one of several prospects worth checking out on this team.
