Daquan Davis Daquan Davis 6'1" | PG Overtime Elite (GA) | 2024 #119 Nation GA | St. John’s (DC)/ Team Takeover
Ranking: No. 5
Davis has earned his stripes in the DMV since stepping foot on the high school scene at St. Frances. At St. John’s (DC) in the WCAC, the 6’2 combo guard remains the fierce two-way competitor that he was as a freshman in Baltimore, but has since polished his overall skill set and become a prospect who is being recruited by several high major programs. Maryland, Providence, Notre Dame and Penn State are vouching for Davis’ services. That should tell you how highly Davis is thought of from a national perspective.
Ty Bevins Ty Bevins 6'5" | SG Gwynn Park | 2024 State #157 Nation MD | Gwynn Park/New World
Ranking: No. 9
Bevins brings a great blend of size and skill as an off-ball guard. He’s 6’6, can be an outside shooting presence off the catch and has the feel/instincts in making the right play off the bounce. His versatility on both ends is what makes Bevins an intriguing prospect not only going into his senior season, but projecting as a four-year college player. George Washington and American are Bevins’ most recent offers.
Martin Somerville Jr. Martin Somerville Jr. 6'3" | PG Southern California Academy (CA) | 2024 #264 Nation CA-S | Bishop McNamara/ DC Premier
Ranking: No. 12
Somerville has gotten off to a productive spring with DC Primer on the UA Circuit being featured both on and off the ball. This high school season while McNamara point guard Jeremiah Quigley Jeremiah Quigley 5'9" | PG Bishop McNamara | 2023 State MD nursed an injury for a few weeks, Somerville had to take over as more of an initiator and I believe it was a key stretch in setting up what he’s doing now. The 6’1 southpaw guard is a lethal three-point shooter both off the catch and off the bounce. He’s showing improvement with his finishing around the basket despite contact and showing college programs that he understands how to find open teammates as a result of his penetration. Albany, Holy Cross, Loyola (MD) and Mount St. Mary’s have all offered Somerville since the start of the grassroots season.
Kris Johnson Kris Johnson 6'4" | SG Grace Brethren Christian (MD) | 2024 State #288 Nation MD | Grace Brethren/New World
Ranking: No. 13
Johnson is on par with Davis when it comes to being a tough-nosed two-way player who competes with an endless motor. The 6’4 combo guard brings an old school intensity in his individual defense and can be a handful for others at his position when he gets downhill on the offensive end. Johnson also proved to make strides as a pull-up shooter in the mid-range area this season for a gritty Grace Brethren group. There’s a lot to like about his approach and passion for the game.
Dominick Stewart Dominick Stewart 6'6" | CG Mt. Zion Prep | 2025 CA-S | Mt. Zion Prep/ Team Durant
Ranking: No. 16
Stewart had his moments this season playing for Mt. Zion Prep as a long-range shooter who could fill it up quickly. He’s another prospect in the state who brings good positional size at 6’6 and is beginning to find his groove with Team Durant in EYBL play. As he develops a tighter handle, Stewart will make defenders pay for wild closeouts by being able to get into the paint and make split-second decisions with confidence. He’s height, length and fluid athleticism make for a switchable defensive piece as well. George Washington and Indiana State are the recent programs to extend offers.
