WAVOR the Game took place the first weekend in April and a group of Oregon's top seniors took on a team filled with top players from Washington for bragging rights. Oregon fell behind in the first half but cut into the lead in the second but eventually fell in a competitive game, 110-97. Here's a look at how the players on Team Oregon performed ([player_tooltip player_id='861096' first='Kavon' last='Bradford'] - 2023 Benson - was selected for the team but was unable to play in the game due to a flight issue coming back from the East Coast)

(listed in alphabetical order)

[player_tooltip player_id='861095' first='Kalim' last='Brown'] (2023 Tigard) - Stats: 2 pts, 3 reb. Fairly quiet night for Brown, who received the least playing time out of anyone else on the team (only 13 minutes). Nevertheless, he played his role when he was in the game and didn't turn it over at all.

[player_tooltip player_id='861097' first='Malik' last='Brown'] (2023 Tigard) - Stats: 3 pts, 4 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl. Brown looked mainly to facilitate offensively but did hit his only three-point attempt. He showed good hustle on the boards and on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='861092' first='Jalen' last='Childs'] (2023 Beaverton) - Stats: 6 pts, 3 reb, 5 ast, 3 stl. Similar to Brown, Childs mainly looked to set up his teammates and finished second on the team in assists. He finished a couple of strong drives to the hoop and was opportunistic on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='861090' first='Jackson' last='Cooper'] (2023 Cleveland) - Stats: 17 pts, 12 reb, 6 ast, 8-14 fg. Cooper may have been Team Oregon's MVP for the game. He played hard on both ends, was tough around the hoop, and really battled on the glass. He even flashed off his interior passing skills on a number of plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256645' first='Josiah' last='Lake'] (2023 Tualatin) - Stats: 9 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast, 3 stl. Lake largely played off the ball and showed some flashes offensively, hitting some jumpers and also flew in for a follow-up slam on one offensive rebound - of which he had 4 offensive boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='861087' first='Esyah' last='Pippa-White'] (2023 Gresham) - Stats: 23 pts, 3 ast. In the words of a college coach we watched alongside, Pippa-White was "ballin'". He was very actively offensively getting to the hoop not only creating for himself but also others, and his outside shot looked good from deep. He shot 10 of Team Oregon's 12 FT attempts.

[player_tooltip player_id='1382415' first='Evan' last='Otten'] (2023 Redmond) - Stats: 10 pts, 9 reb. Arguably the least heralded player on the team - and the only one outside of the Portland Metro Area - Otten proved himself as worthy with some tough work around the hoop both scoring and his rebounding. He also showed some touch with a mid-range jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='962929' first='Malachi' last='Seely-Roberts'] (2023 Lincoln) - Stats: 14 pts, 2 ast, 4-10 3pt. Seely-Roberts was hot early, hitting three from deep to keep Team Oregon in the hunt. As the team fell behind, he mainly stuck with shooting from the outside but was a factor on defense with two blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='962928' first='Moroni' last='Seely-Roberts'] (2023 Lincoln) - Stats: 13 pts, 9 reb. Doing what we saw him do all season long, Seely-Roberts used his strength to get buckets in the lane and when facing up, hit jumpers or attacked off the dribble. He was solid on the backboards and defensively as well.
