Soph Player Rankings: Newcomers

With 201 players, there are bound to be players that saw their rankings drop, but also players that saw their stock rise.    There were 73 new players and here are some of the standout newcomers.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here are 9 newcomers for this HS season:</h2>   [player_tooltip player_id='1822527' first='Devone' last='Pless'] Mesquite (Pictured)   A long good sized wing forward had a little coming out party this season. He has real skill to shoot it from mid to the three point line plus has some range on his deep shots. He uses his size to rebound and score inside.   [player_tooltip player_id='1607055' first='Braden' last='Moore'] Yuma Catholic   A rare old school pure point guard has a high feel for the game. He guided his small school to the finals on his back having some monster games. He has a strong upper body to handle the contact once he gets past his defender. He can thread the needle or score it with a pull-up.   [player_tooltip player_id='1571920' first='Jaden' last='Blasczyk'] Bradshaw Mountain   The big man is one of those who may breakout next year or even senior year. He has legit size and skill. He can face-up out to the three point line plus block shots and rebound. Once he gets stronger, he will be hard to deal with up north.   [player_tooltip player_id='1613047' first='Jules' last='Randy'] Bella Vista Prep   A big kid is a true post player. He runs the floor well and rebounds in and out of his area with his girth and long arms. He is more physical than your typical player throwing his weight and strength around to affect the game. He will score it mostly in the paint.   [player_tooltip player_id='1698856' first='Velijah' last='Miller'] Chandler   The brother of superstar VJ Miller is an intriguing prospect in his own right. He is a long 6'1 with speed in the open court and natural athleticism. If he gets a step on you, he will get to the basket quickly. Defensively you notice him in the passing lanes and he will rebound and even block shots.   [player_tooltip player_id='1674466' first='Connor' last='Morris'] ALA-Gilbert North   A bigger sized scoring guard compliments their PG star Novak. He is a catch and shoot three point shooter and can pull-up from mid-range. He will straight line drive to the rim and use his length in the passing lanes to gain deflections and collect steals.   [player_tooltip player_id='1875973' first='John' last='Hemsley'] Canyon View   A skilled power forward with pretty good size. He runs the floor for position and will rebound at a good rate. He has good post footwork and is crafty around the basket. He will rebound and block shots in his area.   [player_tooltip player_id='1876014' first='Tyran' last='Simpson'] Deer Valley   A long wing is a possible 3 and D type. He is very athletic and can easily flush it down on the break. He can shoot from mid to the three plus takes very few strides to get to the basket. He is a quick twitch athlete who has length that allows him to grab steals and rebound.   [player_tooltip player_id='1601785' first='Leyton' last='Steenhard'] Queen Creek   A skilled combo guard plays on or off the ball. He has good quickness to get to the rim and a tighter handle to not get stripped. He is best off the catch from the three point line and he can make plays for his teammates.
