A small town stud, Jarrett led Maysville to new heights with a conference and district championship this season. A strong guard who could hit tough mid-range shots and get to the bucket, Jarrett will look to have a similar impact as fellow MVL stud Jake Singleton had during his freshman year at Marietta. The Pioneers have done a great job keeping top end talent from their area and Jarrett is next in line from that pipeline.
A big-time shooter, Runser had some explosive scoring outbursts for Midview this season. A 31-point outing Vs Avon Lake might’ve been the senior snipers best performance of the season. I got to see Runser’s last high school game in a tough playoff defeat to Elyria but his shot-making and athleticism were on full display that game. A good athlete when he gets a running start, Runser also recently broke the school record for long jump on the track and field team for the Middies.
Colonel Crawford has become one of the most consistent small school programs in the state over the past few seasons and Baker is the latest player to commit to playing at the next level from that program. A shot making lead guard, Baker had multiple offers from Division III programs looking to secure his commitment. Eventually choosing Capital in the OCC, Baker will look to use his shooting and defensive ability to see the court early.
Meany was a standout at the Evan Turner showcase and has seen an uptick in his recruiting interest over the past month or so. A talented lead guard, Meany has good burst from a triple threat position and the ball-handling ability to beat a defender off the bounce. After a strong senior season for Fairview where he averaged 17 PPG, Meany is looking to become the next warrior to play at the college level after his teammate Jacob Rehor Jacob Rehor 6’3″ | SF Fairview | 2023 State OH recently committed to Adrian.
Jones is another prospect who stood out at the Evan Turner showcase. Jones is a scrappy defender who is capable of hitting shots from the outside. Committed to Edison State, Jones will start his college career at the JUCO level before making his way to a four-year university. After an impressive senior season for Marion Harding where he helped lead his team to an impressive record, Jones will look to have a similar impact on winning at the college level.
Miller left Ohio during his junior season to play at Link Academy, who won the GEICO national championship this year. Miller returned to Ohio to get more minutes at Thomas Worthington where he once again showed off his shooting ability from the outside. Miller is another prospect committed to a JUCO program where he’ll look to transfer to a four year school after a year or two.
Rager is committed at the Division III level to Adrian College in Michigan. Rager was a multi-sport stud for Huron, earning all-SBC honors in basketball and soccer as a senior. With his passing ability combined with his athleticism to attack downhill, Rager earned interest from numerous Division III programs in Ohio before deciding to head north to Michigan to further his academic and athletic career.
