Overseas talent was on full display. The young teams gave us March Madness vibes in April. With that being said, let’s look at who caught my attention the most.
Braylen Clark – OWE 2024
The small guard have tools that every guard must have. Quick shifty guard that can get you paint touches. Like to use the high pick-n-roll to get paint touches utilizing his floater or mid-range. He can get up the court fast getting easy looks in transition. Made some good reads when getting into the paint, driving and kicking the ball out. Can be a pest on defense poking the ball loose. Once he manage the game more consistently throughout the game his game will evolve. Clark can manage a game in the crunch time.
Broderick Brooks – LA Broncos 2024
I watched Zachary this past seen, and remembered his face from TexLou sports event at St. Thomas High School. He was making plays then but he’ll have to step up with
Brandon Hardy leaving; he showcased that ability this weekend. Draining three’s off the dribble, some off a set screen. When it was crunch time he stepped up getting to his spot knocking down shots. Plays at his own pace, and doesn’t allow defense to change it either. Rotates on defense staying acting in the soft spots.
Trey’Dez Green – LA Broncos 2024
The six foot-eight inch power forward is effective on both sides of the court. A big body with great hands. Great body control in the air usually overpowering defenders in the air. Have chase down block ability with explosive leaping ability. Good screen setter for guards. Soft touch when finishing around the rim. Causes problems on the boards with his strength and jumping ability. He brings the Power to forward.
Finley Reid – Aussie Prospects 2024-2
It was interesting to see overseas talent up close. Reid plays at a fast pace pushing the ball down hill. Reid is a crafty guard especially when he passing in the fast break. He focus on getting his points at the rim. Sneaky in the passing lanes causing turnovers consistently. He puts constant pressure on the ball defensively whether on or off ball. High-motor player that plays until the clock reach 0:00.
Justice Bledose – CyFair Elite 2026
Bledsoe came up big in a comeback victory against nike proskills 2026 MTX. Smooth release on his jumpshot. Bledsoe have a quick release which helps when catching and shooting which is something he is good at. Moves well off the ball, and relocate to the open spot. The volume shooter can heat up quick which led to nailing the gamewinner. Thinking adding a mid-range pull up will expand his game because of how hard the defense have to close out.
Demarion Davis – Nike Proskills MTX 2026
Davis impressed me with his ability to get to the rim. Have nice length on him along with some body mass that helps him bump defenders out the way. What stood out to me what his acrobatic display finishing around the rim. Davis can get paint touches, but can read the defense better which will come with time. Nevertheless he can put points on the board attacking the basket, and using his floater.
