First Impressions
Oliver Bender projects as a wing, perhaps a wing guard down the line.

is a very confident, high-energy guy. He gave away a couple of inches to his defender, so he needed to be extremely active moving around the court to find open shots, which he did. Harney is a high motor guy. Takes some bad shots, some good shots.
For Shockers, Chris Johnson plays center. He is a decently agile 6-foot-4 freshman. Good composure around the rim. Currently, CJ is unsteady defending around the arc.
Blake Surratt is a solid dude, hulking shoulders and a strong base. The court awareness of Surratt is strong. Can take a hit in the lane. His free throw form remains unfinished.

looks to be the best catch-and-shoot performer on the squad. Moves well without the basketball too.

understands spacing and passing angles much better than his peers. Though Hudson stands taller than several AAU teammates he is clearly gifted with the most natural pass-first mind. He made a fantastic feed off of the pick’n’roll and found a sagging defender sleeping on another. He makes a lot of correct choices quickly, signs of a matured basketball mind or perhaps just wonderful natural instincts. Hudson’s outside shot is behind his peers at the stronger 15u level though. Also, Hudson plays timid in the lane. He needs to become more mentally tough in the spots that require bumps and nudges. He is thin now, but of course that is easily addressed for a 15 and 16 year old. More vexing is his timidity.
