Colton Benson Colton Benson 6'5" | SF New Ulm | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Rise (6’5 Forward, 2024, New Ulm). The Rise had a solid weekend and it was Benson leading the way. They need him to score inside and he did. They need him to score from the outside, he did. And they need him to make plays and he did some of that too. He was a top scorer at the event and he was a top rebounder too as the team needed that from Colton as well.
Sam Hondl Sam Hondl 6'7" | SF Albany | 2025 State MN of Minnesota Comets (6’6 Forward, 2025, Albany). My impression of Sam surely improved this weekend, both as a player and prospect. It was a lot of little things that added up to Sam being one of the better Comets. Sam is bit quicker than I thought, a bit taller than I thought, fought to angles on defense a bit better than I thought, he was able to use a dribble against older players with success, he shot better than I have seen, and maybe most importantly his fight was more than I knew he brought each possession.
Kyle Jorgensen Kyle Jorgensen 6'9" | C Minneapolis Washburn | 2024 State #308 Nation MN of Minnesota Comets (6’9 C, 2024, Minneapolis Washburn). The Comets always do a good job of getting the ball in the hands of their bigs and giving them chances and Jorgensen had those chances all weekend long. His touch is the best part of his game in addition to the size he brings to the floor. The hands and footwork allow Jorgensen to get to his touch on balance. He also rebounded very well.
Jay Neubert Jay Neubert 6'2" | SG Sauk Centre | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Fury (6’2 SG, 2024, Sauk Centre). When I think Jay I think efficient, consistent, and tough. He does not take bad shots but takes advantage of the shots he does get. Jay is perfect for the sets and activity of the Fury offense and he is the cutter, passer, screener, and finisher that work within that framework. And if you hit shots and make plays in the Fury framework, you can certainly do that in a good college program.
Max Woods Max Woods 5'11" | PG Chanhassen | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Fury (5’11 PG, 2024, Chanhassen). Max is a player that brings something every possession. His ball pressure, his leadership, the initial start to the offense and the ability to put the ball where it needs to be, grabbing boards, hitting some shots when they are there, and everything else. Strong, quick, laterally explosive, speedy up the floor and pound for pound one of the best juniors in the state.
