Continue ReadingA physical forward with great hands, Schmillen finishes at a high clip around the rim, using his physical frame to power through contact. He does a great job sealing his defender when posting up, and making himself big and visible, easy for his guards to get the ball to on post touches. Defensively he has a high IQ and understanding of the game, rotating and coming from the weakside for several blocks or contested shots.
Highlights
A sharpshooter with tremendous size, Hoefert moves extremely well without the bal in his hands, finding open spaces in the defense to get his shot off. With his size, he’s able to get his shot off pretty much whenever he wants, and he does a great job using off-ball screens to free himself. He rebounds on both ends of the floor, contests shots, and is a good and willing passer who is improving as a ball-handler and playmaker.
Highlights
A pass-first guard who sees the floor extremely well, Hoogeveen pushes the tempo when the opportunity presents itself but is also fantastic operating in halfcourt settings, using ball screens to help break down the defense and get into the painted area, where he can either finish with a strong floater game or find open shooters on the perimeter after the defense collapses. He’s a good on-ball defender with great hands and quick feet.
Owen Vander Pol
Owen Vander Pol
A strong, physical forward with good hands, Vander Pol is a really patient scorer who does a good job utilizing ball fakes to get the defender off his feet and then either finishing through the contact that is created, or finishing around the airborne defender. He uses his strength well on the defensive end, never giving up any ground on the block, and he rebounds well on both ends of the floor.
A pure scorer who can fill it up from all three levels, Moret does a great job getting out in transition and finishing at the bucket. He showed the ability to shoot it both off the dribble and the catch, and he can create plays for his teammates with his dribble penetration. He sees the floor well and is a talented passer who will pass up his own good shot for a great shot for his teammate. He’s a high IQ player on both ends of the floor who understands spacing and rotations.
Highlights
A quick lefty guard, Langton has a great first step that he uses to blow by defenders in the halfcourt and get to the rim for finishes or to get good looks for his teammates. He moves his feet well defensively, using quick hands and great lateral movement to put pressure on opposing ball handlers.
Van Regenmorter is one of the best pure basketball players in the 2025 class. His lack of ideal size or athleticism will likely limit his collegiate opportunities to the NAIA level, but whichever school he ends up at is going to get a high IQ, physical, skilled, dynamic player who will impact the game at every level. He can score from anywhere, showing a pure stroke both off the dribble and the catch. He’s a tremendous rebounder on both ends of the floor who can pull down a defensive rebound and lead the break. He can defend multiple positions with his combination of size, length, IQ, and physicality. And what is perhaps the most impressive aspect of his game is his playmaking. He sees the floor extremely well and is a great playmaker out of the mid-to-high post area because of his passing and ability to shoot or drive from that area.
