This Mr. Basketball race will come down to March Madness which officially begins today. How has everybody played this week? We have a look now!

The Leaders

[player_tooltip player_id='962218' first='Nasir' last='Whitlock'] of DeLaSalle. Nasir looked like a capable winner last night scoring 31 points while dishing out six assists pushing Wayzata to the buzzer. Whitlock had two explosive shooting runs leading to his 11 of 22 shooting with five threes and four of four foul shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id='962212' first='Boden' last='Kapke'] of Holy Family. Boden scored 23 points on 9 of 13 shooting with 10 rebounds and had an early seat as the Fire beat Mound-Westonka 85-54. The Fire and Kapke have been dominant down the stretch.

[player_tooltip player_id='962214' first='Nolan' last='Winter'] of Lakeville North. The Panthers lost their third game of the season last night as the second ranked team in the state was upset by Shakopee (15-10). Guard play was more important than the bigs even though Nolan did score 23 points.

Top Final Five Candidates

[player_tooltip player_id='1167554' first='Hayden' last='Tibbits'] of Wayzata. The Wayzata lead guard rebounded from a tough first half shooting to put together a big time performance down the stretch scoring five key times leading the Trojans to a win over DeLaSalle. Tibbits scored 22 points with 5 assists on 8 of 18 shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id='1491756' first='Nate' last='Dahl'] of Buffalo. Nate has not played since Buffalo beat Hopkins last Friday and Nate had 33 while Smith and Moore combined for 26 going against Dahl.

[player_tooltip player_id='962206' first='Max' last='Shikenjanski'] of Stillwater. Max is making a major late season push as he had 32 points with six rebounds and seven assists helping the Ponies beat Irondale by 15 points. The future Gopher quarterback is also reminding people why he had multiple D1 hoops offers and had committed to The Citadel.

The Top Ten

CJ O'Hara of Park Center. The Pirates bounced back from their upset loss to Elk River by beating Osseo. O'Hara had a rough game scoring 10 points on 3 of 13 shooting with four turnovers.

[player_tooltip player_id='962198' first='Taison' last='Chatman'] of Totino-Grace. The Eagles blew out Centennial 83-52 and the main rotation guys played less than half of the game. Chatman scored eight points on six shots when he was on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='962246' first='Ben' last='Kopetzki'] of Andover. On Monday Ben had 20 points and four rebounds in an 85-59 win over Centennial followed by 32 points on 12 of 24 shooting with two threes and 6 of 9 foul shooting against Blaine.

[player_tooltip player_id='962210' first='Quyavant' last='Douglas'] of Brooklyn Center. The Centaurs dropped games on back to back nights to start the week losing to Richfield by 22 and to Hiawatha by 28. Douglas scored 28 points on 10 of 23 shooting with 6 of 7 foul shooting vs Richfield, scored 27 in the loss to Hiawatha shooting 9 of 22.
