Sanders started the game off hot by knocking down the first eight points for the Hornets. He did it in a variety of ways by knocking down two three-pointers and a pull-up from mid-range. After the fast start, he had to sit down due to being in foul trouble early. When he was in the game he penetrated and allowed and helped his teammates get opportunities to score.
Holdman did a great job getting to the basket throughout the first half of the basketball game. If he wasn’t laying the ball up, he was getting fouled and going to the free-throw line. At one point in the game Booker T. Washington was down by double digits and Holdman’s energy allowed them to get on a run and get back in the basketball game. He is a player that plays hard every single play on both ends of the court.
Tramble did a great job throughout the first half in getting to the basket. He was able to show that he can create off the dribble and finish through contact as well. When he had open looks, he wasn’t afraid to take them and even made a few. He has a really strong body and makes it hard for the defense to knock him off his spot when he decides to put his head down and go to the cup.
Rayfield is long and lets his presence be known throughout the game by rebounding and getting putbacks on the offensive end of the floor. When he got fouled he was able to go to the free throw line and knock down his free throws as well. In the second half of the game, he did a great job of posting up and drawing fouls on various opposing defenders for the Hornets.
Harris played a great game throughout he repeatedly was able to get in the lane and make positive things happen for his team. It seemed as if as the game went on he continued to thrive under pressure. He even showed a rare ability to knock down the three-pointer toward the end of the third quarter. At one point the hornets were down by nine and harris scored eight straight points to help them get back in the ball game. At the end of the game he with the hornets down one knocked down two free throws to help put the game away and give the hornets an opportunity to the state tournament in back-to-back years.
