Starting with their post presence in the form of 6'6, 220 lb power forward, Manasse Kasongo. Kasongo is a unique talent. He has nice size and athleticism for his age while possessing a fairly high ceiling after seeing how much he has progressed over the past few seasons. He has decent touch on the ball while being physically dominate near the basket compared to most because of his patience and basketball IQ. During the Prep Hoops Prospect Camp in Des Moines a few weeks ago he jumped off the tape, literally, with his ability to go and meet an opponent up at the rim, recording a handful of nasty blocks for everyone to see. Currently he is figuring out if he will be playing for D1 Minnesota, Howard Pulley EYBL, or another team for his AAU spring/summer sessions. Either way, whoever gets him is getting a player with a high motor and a lot of promise.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1807351"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='1807351' first='Eddie' last='Petersen'] helped lead the Iowa City-Regina Regals this season as their starting point guard. Petersen, a 6'1 athletic guard, can do a plethora of good things on the floor for whatever squad he is playing with. He has an elite handle with the consistent ability to score in the open court when guarded one on one. He possesses a balanced shooting stroke that seems to never be rushed with a signature floater he likes to put up while attacking the basket. In addition to this I would say that his best ability is seeing the floor, creating for others, and making an accurate pass to his teammates. Not to mention his ability to play the ball when his opponent drives, leading to just over 1 BPG during his junior season. Throughout this past year Petersen made it pretty relevant that he was the heart and soul of this Regina team while being their floor general. Without him, it would have been difficult for this group to be successful night in and night out. He ended his season averaging 9.5 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 3.7 APG. Moving forward I'm curious to what his future will hold as he is a two sport athlete with a lot of promise on the soccer field as well as the court. If a college program out there is looking for a smart guard with decent size, who does a good job of protecting the ball and making the players around him better, Petersen could be your guy. He will return for one more season this fall as Regina's starting point guard where he will look to lead the Regals to the best year they have had since making it to state during the 18-19' season.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1587376"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"The Pleasant Valley Spartans made a run to remember this season during the playoffs with it ending just short in Des Moines at the Well. They ended the season with an overall 20-6 record and falling to the eventual state champs in the Valley Tigers, by a final of 58-51. Looking toward their future they have some nice pieces that will be ready to step up next season and do whatever they can to help this Spartans group get back to the state tournament, one of those pieces being [player_tooltip player_id='1587376' first='Cole' last='Beinborn']. Beinborn is solid. He has good size, speed, and athleticism for his age while being able to score from all three levels on the offensive end. His length and shooting ability really stand out, as it is tough to alter his shot once he hits you with a move to create separation into a pull-up. His game style I would categories as consistent and efficient. He does a solid job of making good choices when the ball is in his hands, knowing when to take-over and score it or distribute to an open teammate. This AAU season he will join up with the Quad Cities Shockers program, traveling the country and showing off his game throughout a number of different states over the spring/summer seasons. He will be a player I'll be keeping an eye on moving forward as he will have a good chance of seeing a lot of minutes on the floor for the Spartans this fall. An opportunity he is sure to make the most of.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1558745"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"[player_tooltip player_id='1558745' first='Sam' last='Mbingazo'] has only been in Iowa City for one high-school season but he has already made a big impact on his Iowa City-City High program. Mbingazo is a rim protector. He does a lot of nice things on the floor to help his team but his best ability in my opinion is blocking or alternating shots that are closer to the rim. He is listed at around 6'8/6'9 accompanied with a lot of athleticism. I happen to be in attendance for a handful of his games this year and during each contest he got his hands on a number of blocks and deflections. An example I really like is when his team faced off against Iowa Commit, [player_tooltip player_id='956868' first='Pryce' last='Sandfort']. Sandfort went up for two big dunks in transition over Samuel and each time it was denied, convincingly. Along with this you can imagine that his rebounding ability is next level. He does a fantastic job of knowing where the ball is going to land off of a missed shot and going to get it, no matter who is in his way. During this AAU season he will return to Cali to play for the Compton Magic, a highly ranked AAU program that has received national recognition multiple times throughout the years for having some of the best players in the country at the high-school level.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":4,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-641cfddde679c"} /-->
