<p><strong>Playoff Central.</strong> There were five pigtail games last night followed today by a whole host of sectional games in both 3A basketball and 3AA basketball! </p>

<p><strong>Upset City</strong>. Madelia had lost 11 games in a row and had only won three games all season, and last night they took out ten win Alden-Conger 57-55. And the way they won.... Josiah Damaris caught on the wing, got an elbow screen from a well spaced out floor off the set, he attacked with his left to the opposite elbow to shoot and make a shot at the buzzer! March Madness is back in Madelia once again! </p>

<p><strong>The Big Stage.</strong> BOTH Montevideo High School and Worthington High School are hosting games all day long. In fact, Dawson-Boyd has already beaten Yellow Medicine East and top ranked RTR beat HLOF 73-46. All games at these two schools today are Section 3A games. [player_tooltip player_id='1167622' first='Nathan' last='Fenske'] and Lakeview as well as Dawson Rieck and Southwest Minnesota Christian are still on tap for this afternoon's games. </p>

<p><strong>Top Performers</strong>. Mayer Lutheran started the playoffs at 2-23 but Levi Hahn scored 15 points and senior Josiah Clark had 14 points pushing the Crusaders bast 8-win Sleepy Eye by a basket. Big win for Mayer Lutheran.</p>

<p>Zach Gieseke scored 16 points for New Ulm Cathedral who beat New Century 75-25. </p>

<p><strong>Tip of the Hat to the Career</strong>. Football standout Lucas Hensche of Alden-Conger was also a two time all conference basketball player that led the team in scoring and got them to a ten win season!</p>
