The IQ he has for the game is another attribute that we were impressed with, he made some good reads throughout the day and was solid on the defensive end of the court.
Another sleeper prospect that wanted to use this opportunity to prove himself, Andre put together a solid showing throughout the day, showcasing his ability to score, defend and facilitate. His team was able to take home the camp championship and his role on the squad was one of the reasons why, he’s the type of player that is willing to sacrifice for his team to be successful.
Highlights
JUCO programs that haven’t extended an offer to him should be doing so sooner than later! He has plenty of the tools that you look for in a college PG such as: Height, scoring ability and passing ability. Throughout the day he made the right reads and understands how to balance his scoring with his facilitating.
Leading his team to the camp championship game, he has impressive end to end speed and found some success attacking the paint for buckets. He’s known as a player that can score the ball at a high rate, but we were just as impressed with the energy and enthusiasm that he brought on the defensive side of the ball.
His energy is one of the traits that you notice about him early on, he always has a desire to compete and wants to do whatever it takes to win. However, during this event he proved that he’s more than just a player that’s going to provide energy but also showed his ability to be effective at the PG spot. He led all campers in assists per game, finding open teammates consistently while keeping his turnovers low.
