I loved what I saw from Middleton, the junior in attack mode from the opening tip. DeMarco is a wiry playmaker with a jolt of quickness. He makes things happen off the bounce as both a distributor and scorer. Middleton scores with a trusty floater, netting three in a 55-52 win over Columbia. He battled cramps in the second half, but whenever the ball was in his hands, he went full-tilt to be effective. Middleton tallied 13 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal.

Bruce’s impact was made with his ability to get to the hoop. The 5-foot-9 senior scored on three drives and was a pesky defender that converted turnovers into easy transition buckets. Kevin was clutch from the line, going 5-6 from the stripe. In a game where rebounding helped decide the outcome, Bruce, often the smallest on the floor, did all he could to contribute finishing with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
It wasn’t a prolific shooting night for the Storm’s all-time leader in three-pointers made in a season (114), but Thacker delivered when it mattered most and was still effective as a facilitator when not scoring. Samuel hit a three in the first quarter and didn’t find the bottom of the net from deep until late in the fourth when he sank a dagger from the corner to put the game out of reach, a 59-49 victory over Model. Thacker finished with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 block. He did a good job finding the open man against the zone and coolly hit a pair of free throws to help ice the game.
The Covenant College-signee came out hot against the Model zone, knocking down jumper after jumper. Malcolm hit a corner three before netting three mid-range jumpers. The lefty also scored on a drive, challenging 6-foot-9 center Jeremias Heard Jeremias Heard 6’9″ | C Model | 2024 State GA . Thomas would finish with 14 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. His mid-range game along with his attacking mindset and springy legs cause problems for most opponents.
