February 28: Round I, DIV III. King’s Academy 64, Ygnacio Valley 61
March 1st: Round I, Open Division. De La Salle 46, Archbishop Mitty 44.
March 2nd: Round II, DIV IV. Half Moon Bay 60, Hillsdale 48.
Kings’s Academy defeated Pinole Valley on March 2nd to advance to the next round against Oakland, while De La Salle will travel to Modesto Christian on Saturday to take on the #1 Seed in the Open Division. Half Moon Bay will play on Saturday at Marin Catholic in a semifinal contest.

He’s been a key piece in King’s run up into title contention this season. The strong physical forward scored in a variety of ways, along with key buckets down the stretch. He showed his range by knocking down two long 3’s with good lift. He had strong drives with good finishes around the basket. His paint jumper was going in. 27pts, 5rebs, 2asts, 1stl.

He’s been a consistent performer this season leading his team in scoring 17.4. He’s a solid combo guard who plays with good balance looking to get teammates involved early, then becoming more aggressive as a scorer as the game progresses. He’s a good ball handler with vision and passing. He can get into the paint for points and knock down open 3’s. 16pts, 3-3’s, 5rebs, 3asts, 1stl
He’s a steady prospect who continues to raise his game. He has the skills to play both guard position. The long guard is productive on both ends of the court, his length and lateral movements are good. He has the ability to knock down 3’s along the perimeter on the catch, or create his shot off the dribble. All of his production is within the flow of the game. 21pts, 5-3’s, 4rebs, 1asts, 1stl
NorCal’s top prospect in the 2025 Class struggled a bit in the first half with just 2pts, before finishing with 14 second half pts. His 16pts was tops in this low scoring affair 46-44. He has all the tools to effectively contribute on both ends of the court. When the outside shots weren’t falling, he went to workin the mid-post using a variety of moves to get his team into the next round. 16pts, 3rebs, 1ast, 2blks, 1st.
The Princeton commit did his work on both ends of the court. He came close to a double, double with 10pts, 8rebs in this low scoring affair. He’s a wing that showed us a variety of ways he can get a bucket inside and out. His improved ball handling, and passing in transition and along the perimeter shows he ready for the next level.

A quality combo guard who gives good effort on both ends of the court. He has good leverage and balance when he has the ball trying to get his points. He used his dribble for a nice step-back mid range jumper, and a quick crossover or spin move to challenge defenders in the paint. He hit two long 3ptrs. 18pts, 2asts, 1stl
With no defender standing above 6’4, and facing double, and triple teams. Hutchins showed he could get his points in the paint with patience, and strength going up around the rim, he had good passes from the post. What was most notable was the 3pt shot he’s added to his game. He had good form, and shot with confidence squaring up from behind the arc. 31pts, 2-3’s, 4 rebs, 2asts, 1blk.
