popped at PrepHoops 250 way back in September. His omission in the late 2022 rankings was my fault. He belonged then and belongs now. Xialin is a shot-maker and shot-creator. He can something out of nothing, which is a marketable skill. Long-term Xialin will fight against the "smaller guard" moniker. That will inhibit his recruitment beyond high school if Jordan FrisonJordanFrison

's slow recruitments are any indication of the trend. Jordan's picked up just this month, but it took a State Championship to kickstart it. Xialin is a solid on-ball defender. He is quick, but not extremely quick. Again, his reason for relevance is largely his impressive ability to create and make shots from scratch. Good catch-and-shoot guy, if that is the role he finds himself in. Kind of a Devaki GarrDevakiGarr

| SG | Glencliff - Very quick. Thin. Needs to invest in weight room. Decent passer. The outside shooting must develop. Dowell can really dribble and get past defenders with his first-step quickness. He can benefit from incorporating even more elaborate dribbling moves.

returned to Tennessee from Missouri (Link Prep) before his junior season, which was this last season. His game is different than it was two years ago, when he was ranked in the Top 15 of the 2024 class. Kavien JonesKavienJones

used to look like a future wing leaper and scorer, despite playing under the basket quite a bit. He put on a lot of muscle in the last two years, and though he still gets off of the ground very well, he might not be a wing after high school now. Kavien teeters on that edge of undersized (height-wise) big or heavier, stronger, slower wing scorer. Jones will always be a plus-plus rebounder. Defense currently is elite at the high school level. Kavien looks like a reliable two-way player. "I think people are still trying to figure it out," said Head Coach Trey Meyer. "He is close to 6'6", 230. His skill level is developing. This is his first year really not just sitting under the basket the whole time. He has hit 5 3's a couple of times. He has brought the ball up. He has hit mid-range pull-ups. People are anxious to see how he is evolving. I try not to put any limits on Kavien."
