Fishers beats Lawrence North on the road

This could have been the game of the night last night. In a central Indiana showdown, the Fishers Tigers got a huge win on the road vs a tough Lawrence North Wildcats tea 61-58. For the most part, it was a tight game but Fishers would extend the lead to double-figures before Lawrence North would fight back. Lawrence North had a chance to to take the lead with a few seconds left but 2025 guard [player_tooltip player_id='1296979' first='Azavier' last='Robinson'] would miss the fast break layup. 2025 guard [player_tooltip player_id='1297052' first='Jalen' last='Haralson'] would hit the game winning field goals. [player_tooltip player_id='1578471' first='Taden' last='Metzger'] led Fishers with 22 pts while Haralson added 13 pts. Lawrence North was led by Robinson with 16 pts, [player_tooltip player_id='1729136' first='Brennan' last='J. Miller']. with 13 pts, and [player_tooltip player_id='1275769' first='Myles' last='Baker'] with 12 pts.

Edwards double-double for Springs Valley

Last night saw Springs Valley go on the road to upset New Washington 74-60. For the Blackhawks, 2025 power forward [player_tooltip player_id='1297013' first='Deion' last='Edwards'] was star of the game with his 32 point, 11 rebound double-double. Edwards is slowly starting to raise his stock as one of the better power forwards in the 2025 class. This was a big win for Springs Valley as it snaps a 2-game losing streak. Up next, the Blackhawks go on the road again to face South Central (Elizabeth) on 2/18.

Kokomo continues to roll

How about the Kokomo Wildcats? With their win over Western last night, this is the 23rd win-streak of 10 games or more and the first since the 2016-17 season. In that win last night, the Wildcats were led by, who else, [player_tooltip player_id='1363488' first='Flory' last='Bidunga'] with a 23 point, 19 rebound. Karson Rodgers added 11 points as well for Kokomo. Logan Nelson led Western with 17 points. At the 4A level, Kokomo is seemingly getting hot at the right time with Sectionals getting closer and closer. As long as Bidunga is available, Kokomo will always have a chance to win a game. Kokomo travels to Anderson on Friday.

Bledsoe makes history

Going back down to southern Indiana, a little bit of history was made. In Loogootee's win over Washington Catholic last night, 2023 small forward [player_tooltip player_id='868254' first='Peyton' last='Bledsoe'] became the all-time leading scorer in Loogootee history. He had 20 points to earn that achievement. Drew Walker also set a record of his own with the most assists in a single game with 16 assists in Lions' history. Loogootee is riding a 3-game winning streak and are certainly going to be one of the toughest teams in the 1A post season. They travel to Northeast Dubois on Friday.
