-No. 7 Remsen St. Mary’s (19-2) cruised to a 70-32 victory against Siouxland Christian in Substate 1 District 1. The Hawks jumped out a 16-3 lead after one quarter and never looked back. They received 19 points and nine rebounds from sophomore Collin Homan Collin Homan 6'5" | PF Remsen, St. Mary's | 2025 State IA , while teammate Jaxon Bunkers Jaxon Bunkers 5'11" | SF St. Mary's, Remsen | 2023 State IA added 15 points, six boards and four assists. They advanced to Thursday’s district semifinals, where they will meet Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, 74-47 winners against Alta-Aurelia Monday.
-No. 6 Dunkerton (21-1) overwhelmed visiting Riceville, 95-42. Senior Preston Gillespie Preston Gillespie 6'3" | SF Dunkerton | 2023 State IA filled the stat sheet for the winners with 30 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block. His classmate, Casey Gardner Casey Gardner 5'8" | PG Dunkerton | 2023 State IA , dished out 14 assists with just two turnovers and added 11 points. The Raiders moved on to meet North Butler (11-11) Thursday in the Substate 2 District 3 semis.
-No. 2 North Linn (21-0) had everything clicking Monday in a 103-24 win against Edgewood-Colesburg. Senior Ben Wheatley Ben Wheatley 6'1" | SG North Linn | 2023 State IA poured in 40 points, making 17 of 21 shots from the field, including 5 of 8 from behind the three-point arc. Fellow senior Tate Haughenbury Tate Haughenbury 6'5" | PF North Linn | 2023 State IA contributed 14 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists, four steals and two blocks for the Lynx, who face South Winneshiek, 72-63 winners against Tripoli Monday.
-Eighth-ranked Baxter (18-1-1) rolled by Twin Cedars, 94-41, getting 38 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and three steals from senior Carson Scroggins Carson Scroggins 6'4" | PF Baxter | 2023 State IA . Cody Damman, a senior, added 15 points, five steals, four rebounds and four assists for the winners. The Bolts’ triumph set up a Thursday meeting with Sigourney, a 55-52 victor against Southeast Warren Monday.
-No. 2 Gladbrook-Reinbeck proved to be too much for BGM in a 85-31 triumph. Senior William Kiburis William Kiburis 6'4" | PG Gladbrook-Reinbeck | 2023 State IA recorded 29 points (12-13 FGs) and eight assists against just one turnover. Sophomore Drew Eilers Drew Eilers 6'3" | PF Gladbrook-Reinbeck | 2025 State IA scored nine, pulled down 10 boards and collected a pair of steals for the Rebels (20-2), who face HLV in Thursday’s Substate 6 District 11 semifinals.
-Fourth-ranked West Harrison (20-1) took down Boyer Valley, 84-39, in advancing to face West Manona Thursday in the Substate 8 District 15 semifinals. Senior Sage Evans Sage Evans 6'2" | PF West Harrison | 2023 State IA scored 20 points and ripped down 21 rebounds Monday for West Harrison, throwing in seven assists for good measure. His classmate, Koleson Evans Koleson Evans 6'6" | SF West Harrison | 2023 State IA , contributed 18 points and 11 boards.
STATISTICAL STANDOUTS
-The aforementioned Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn enjoyed an eye-popping effort from senior Kooper Ebel Kooper Ebel 6'2" | SG HMS | 2023 State IA , who racked up 22 points, eight rebounds, eight steals and a pair of assists without a turnover.
-Kingsley-Pierson received 19 points and five assists (1 turnover) from junior Beau Goodwin in a 63-35 win against Akron-Westfield.
-Senior Keaten Bonderson Keaten Bonderson 6'0" | PG Gehlen Catholic | 2023 State IA lit up the scoreboard with 34 points in Gehlen Catholic’s 67-49 victory against Woodbury Central. He also contributed seven rebounds and four steals.
-George-Little Rock’s Drew Denekas Drew Denekas 6'2" | PF George-Little Rock | 2024 State IA posted a double-double during a 51-36 triumph against MMCRU. The junior scored 15 and grabbed 10 boards.
-No. 10 Newell-Fonda senior Carter Sievers Carter Sievers 6'1" | PG Newell Fonda | 2023 State IA notched 27 points (5-9 3PT FG) with six assists in a 73-55 victory against Lawton-Bronson.
-North Butler advanced by Saint Ansgar, 49-35, with Corbin Lewis leading the way. The senior scored 15, pulled down 13 boards, blocked six shots and swiped four steals.
– Rylan Barnes Rylan Barnes 6'3" | SF West Hancock | 2023 State IA messed around and got a triple-double during a 71-42 victory by West Hancock against Central Springs. The senior recorded 21 points, 18 rebounds and 11 assists with one turnover. He also came up with four steals.
-Junior Ryland Ubben Ryland Ubben 6'5" | PF South Hamilton | 2024 State IA racked up 20 points, seven rebounds and three steals during South Hamilton’s 58-40 win against Janesville.
– Douglas Taylor Douglas Taylor 6'5" | SF Newman Catholic | 2023 State IA , a senior, led the way in Newman Catholic’s 79-54 victory against North Iowa with 30 points and 13 rebounds.
-Turkey Valley edged East Buchanan, 48-45, behind 22 points from senior Calvin Bodensteiner.

-Tri-Center overpowered Heartland Christian, 77-28, with senior Michael Turner posting 18 points, four rebounds and three steals.
-Sophomore Michael Hensley racked up 16 points, eight rebounds and two steals during Sidney’s 53-41 victory against Fremont-Mills.
