Carson Brown – SG – 6’3” – 2023 Tesoro
One of the best pure scorers in the county by far as he has everything you could ask for in his bag. He scores at will at the rim and on the perimeter. His offensive prowess has led his team to the CIF Semi-Finals for the first time since 2014 and while doing that he also has just become his program’s All-Time Leading Scorer. What impresses me the most is his quickness with the ball up top and coming off of pick and rolls. He always makes the right decision, but a lot of the time the smart decision is him taking the shot as he has great shooting splits, while shooting over 40% from the arc. Pairing his scoring ability with his stellar defense makes him a great candidate for a chance at the next level. His athletic ability is definitely underrated after watching him get up for big blocks and steals to go the other way for easy transition layups.
Blake Manning – PG – 6’2” – 2023 Tesoro
There weren’t too many players this year that I had seen play as a true point guard that dominates on both ends of the floor. It’s athletes like this that prove to me that the game of basketball is in good hands. He plays the game the right way, gets teammates involved, and brings energy to both ends of the floor. At the next level, he would fit in any roster that you have built already. He scores at all three levels, sets up his own through pick and rolls and great crosscourt passes, and defends guards at a high level. Whether you’re looking for an energy guard off the bench or a point guard to lead a team to victory, this is your guy.

Consistency is key and this point guard brings a great balance of steadiness and madness to the floor. His balance of scoring and playmaking is fantastic as well averaging 16 points and 6 assists as well. His offensive talents of blowing by his defenders, finishing at the rim, and great shooting splits make him very desirable at the next level. On the defensive end, he makes the opposing point guard go through hell and back by picking up full-court almost every possession. Picking pockets left and right leading to over 3 steals per game, and is by far the leader in that category for his whole league. Pairing his offensive game and his hectic defense, he can help lead a team or thrive in an energy roll off the bench.
Jay Fromm – SG – 6’2” – 2023 Aliso Niguel
This shot creator was stuck on a roster that played team-style basketball. Because of that, his stats are not going to jump off the page and wow you. With that said, for me when scouting the eye test is the most important thing when watching a game. I had the chance to watch this senior a couple of times this season and he is a walking bucket. Having him come off the bench on a college roster for spot minutes, he is the perfect candidate. If given an opportunity he has the potential to be a starting shooting guard because he pairs his offensive talents with quality defense on and off the ball. Give him an opportunity and he will thrive.
Jake Bennett – C/PF – 6’7 – 2023 Tesoro
On a stalked Titans roster, the senior big man makes sure his presence is felt. He does that on both ends of the floor, especially on the glass. Averaging a double-double for the season and many of those games with 15-20 rebounds. He also shows his existence as an elite paint protector and shot blocker. Adding him as a center to your roster will immediately bolster your defense and make it easier for the rest of the team. He also does a fantastic job guarding on switches and being able to stay with the guards on the perimeter. On the offensive side, he is dominant in the paint through post-ups and pick-and-rolls. Being outside of the paint isn’t his strong suit but he is still able to keep the defense honest with midrange jumpers from pocket passes. Look to add him if you’re looking for an instant defensive identity and stellar rebounding.
